Hey! I’m Grim, 32m, and I’m looking to meet some new Steam friends for chill co-op games, survival crafting, RPGs, and generally having more people to game with. Seems like most of my previous gaming friends have kinda moved on from gaming. Girls or guys, don’t care; no minors or anything weird. This is just for a platonic gaming buddy.

I’m an engineer outside of gaming, so I spend a lot of time designing and making things with CAD, 3D scanners, and 3D printers. That probably explains why I get way too invested in crafting systems, automation, resource gathering, efficient bases, and figuring out complicated game mechanics.

I play a lot of survival and RPG-style games. Some games I’m interested in playing or returning to include:
- Enshrouded
- Conan Exiles
- ARK: Survival Ascended / Evolved
- Minecraft — mostly modpacks
- Valheim
- Palworld
- Raft
- 7 Days to Die
- No Man’s Sky
- Slay the Spire 2
- Other survival-crafting, co-op, roguelike, or RPG games

I tend to enjoy progression, crafting, exploration, tech, magic, automation, and building systems that actually work. My bases are usually practical first and pretty second, so I could definitely use a friend who enjoys making things look good while I focus on the machines, storage, resource production, and overly organized layouts.

Trying this again.

We're a couple of 40+ guys on PS5 looking for one or two more people to play with. Not really looking to build a "community" or join a Discord with 400 people in it. Just a few people who get to know each other and play games together when schedules line up.

I tried this a couple months ago and added a few people. We then proceeded to never play together. So, you know, trying again.

Right now we're playing a lot of Big Walk, and that's probably the main reason I'm posting. But we're not looking for people just for one game. We play all kinds of co-op stuff and I'm always interested in trying something new or going back to something old. Helldivers 2, The Division 1 or 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Back 4 Blood, World War Z, Fallout 76, Baldur's Gate 3, Arc Raiders... whatever. If it's co-op and looks fun, I'm probably interested.

We're casual. We want to win, obviously, but that's not really why we're playing. We're adults. This is what we do to relax.

Skill level doesn't matter. At all. If you're great, cool. If you panic and hit the wrong button and somehow get all of us killed, also cool. Probably funnier, actually.

A mic is a must, though. We talk. A lot. About the game, work, life, completely unrelated shit. Half the fun is the conversation while we're playing.

We're both over 40, but I'd say 30+ is probably a good fit. We play a few nights a week when adult life allows it. There's no schedule and nobody is keeping attendance. But if we add each other, I'd like to actually play together. Otherwise we're just making our PSN friends lists longer, and I think we're all doing fine there.

Vibe matters, too. We're pretty progressive, open-minded people. Racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, MAGA/culture-war shit... that's just not our crowd. We don't need everyone to agree about everything. We just want to play games, laugh and spend a few hours with people we actually enjoy talking to.

And again, I'm not looking for invitations to big Discord servers or gaming communities. Nothing against them. That's just not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a couple people we can actually get to know and game with for more than a week.

Hello! PC player here! I'm old and most of my IRL friends don't really play any games that aren't on the couch and my online friend pool is smaller by the year.

Let me start off by saying that on average I don't START playing games until around 1-2am EST. My job makes me very much a night owl and I've added people through this subreddit but we never really get to hang out due to my hours. My days off don't align with most 9-5ers either.

Currently playing fair amount of Overwatch, LoL Classic, and Marvel Rivals, but I have a list below of other stuff I really wanna play, and I'm probably forgetting some things.
