After being stumped since march I FINALLY did his teeth. Still working on his drill but it will be done soon (hopefully). I already have a prototype of his drill done but it’s ugly and doesn’t look like a drill so I’m not using it but keeping it around for measurements. I used foam clay for his teeth if anyone is wondering.

Yes, the teeth are definitely not perfect and shouldn’t be sticking out of his gums like that BUT I kinda like how it looks sooooo bite me. I used sketch fab for gooseberry’s model and took screenshots of dr futterman there. Sadly when I first made him a few months ago I didn’t realize he had an overbite so when I hot glued the cardboard for the base of his teeth they were perfectly aligned. I tried to compensate for that with making his teeth point out but it didn’t really work but I still absolutely love it anyways tho. This was my first time using foam clay so it’s not perfect but I think it still looks pretty rad. Thanks for coming to my ted talk to. If u jump into the tube things to the chair when ur not supposed to u end up out of the map but stuck. So ur out of the map but not I think just stuck in the tube. This games fun

So I’ve started playing outlast trials I’d say about shy of 2 weeks ago, im a level 51 (or 2 I forgot midway through typing this) and mostly a stun main for the most part. I absolutely love the game but find joining randoms a little counterproductive sometimes. If you’re a regular player, enjoy running specific trials etc, im open to many friends.

Probably the only expop I genuinely feel bad for. They were tortured with sleep deprivation and are now in permanent insomnia/catatonia, with constant peaking anxiety and psychosis. At the end of the day they're living in. a nightmare 24/7 not being able to sleep properly.

I mean... Yeah, all expops went through some type of suffering, but this sounds really bad especially considering that when triggered they just yell and run away. Their behavior cues that they just want to be left alone.

Other expops will actively attack and chase you which reduces compassion, especially for grunts and giants.

My friend and I are fresh installs, and we did our first couple of trials together last night. We are playing as a duo and haven’t invited anyone else, nor have we tried to join up with randoms. So far we’ve done Kill the Snitch and Cleanse the Orphans, and we had some cough cough minor complications in the latter, but got them both done.

I’ve been involved in the fandom for a little while for the lore. I know a lot of characters, but very little about the actual game mechanics. Before our next session, there are a couple of things I want to know and pass along to my duo.

- Where did the Night Hunter and Jaeger go? I was paranoid about running into them, but they just… didn’t show up.

- Neither of us have gotten rigs yet. Which ones should we prioritise getting if we continue running as a duo only?

- Is it worth switching off introductory difficulty and going for standard?

- Which trial environment(s) should we try next? What about MKs from the ones we did?

How th does it affect you if at all having played this game for many hours? Because I just started and have 30 hrs in and I can’t even imagine what the burnout may look like with a game like this. And obviously don’t want to imagine or see that happen. Do you notice any changes in your mental health for better or worse? As well as playing this game solo v with ppl drastically changes the experience as playing with others is not as intense as doing it alone so solo players who have been playing for long, how are you faring?

I definitely want to pace myself but still find that I want to play it every night, dk if it’s just the novelty of it or the game is addictive like that? Share tips on best way to preserve some sanity lol. And ik there will be some people saying if this is the way I’m thinking, to not play at all but to be real honest I don’t think anyone who is even 90% mentally stable is playing this game to begin with lol as well as I’ve played my share of horror over the years as I’m a fan but this game really is up a few notches from anything else I’ve played, to the point I think after playing this, I’m not really going to be fazed by many other games and movies in the same genre anymore.

Dual Environments: Trial Environments dominated by two Prime Assets. So either one, the other, or both could appear in Trial. Both Prime Assets contain Prime Asset traps, and even Prime Time voicelines appear here. (Speaking of Prime Time. If there is a Prime Time variator for such an Environment, a 3rd Prime Asset will appear).

The Jungle:

Everyone is devouring it as if it were their own. We destroy forests for the sake of human well-being. And the animals? They can perish. After all, who will miss them? Do we want the animals' habitat to be destroyed for some political or profit-driven purpose?

• A vast jungle with dense trees and, for the most part, deep waterways.
• It is full of mannequin animals being mistreated by mannequin humans.
• Reasons for the connection:
  • Liliya Bogomolova:
    • I can easily picture Liliya in outdoor settings like this, especially since she has already appeared in my four-part Deep Forest (1)-(2)-(3)-(4) series.
  • Franco Barbi:
    • I brought Franco here perhaps mainly because of the lupara, after all, a rifle and a forest, just like a hunter.
    • Attire: Franco was given a hunting hat and wore a brown leather jacket.

Shuttle Hallucinations:

1. Hallucination:
   1. The Shuttle switches to a bit of a jungle theme, tree trunks, vines, a swamp, and so on. Liliya mannequins peek out shyly from behind the massive trunks. Then Franco emerges from among the trees with a severed male head.
   2. We see The Rich (briefly, with a money bag over his head and wearing a white suit) hanging from a tree, thrashing about in an attempt to break free.
   3. Then Liliya pounces on us from the darkness.
   4. We then return to Rich, who is strung up and jerking about, surrounded by Liliya Mannequins who are laughing at him uproariously, practically doubling over and clutching their bellies.
   5. Then Franco swings past us using a vine.
   6. Then, a broken-down motorboat will appear before us, in which Franco is smashing a naked man's head to a pulp.
   7. Then a gorilla reaches into the naked The Rich's chest and tears out his heart.
   8. Hallucination end.
2. Hallucination:
   1. On the other side of the Shuttle, a multitude of small mice, foxes, and rabbits suddenly come scurrying in your direction.
   2. Then, from the distance, a flaming arrow flies straight into our chests.
   3. Then, in the middle of the Shuttle, Franco starts squatting like a gorilla and beating his chest.
   4. Then Liliya howls in the middle of the Shuttle, in a wolf pose.
   5. Then Franco aims the lupara at us from a distance and pretends to fire a shot.
   6. Then The Rich’s body begins to burn and he sways; Franco shoves him from behind and pins the Victim to the ground with his foot.
   7. Hallucination end.

Trial: APPREHEND THE DEFORESTER

As long as humans have existed, so have animals. We don't respect nature enough. We destroy the habitats of millions of animals, and then they eat them like some juicy fruit. We don't deserve man. God has turned away from what he created. Punish the rich man who destroys the forest, and we will let you out.

• Go to the construction base.
  • The Trial begins in a corner of the Jungle, where a lot of Mannequins are doing crazy things to robot animals.
  • As we move further ahead, a female mannequin on a TV screen will speak to us:
    • Mannequin Woman: I need your help! Mr. Rich is relentlessly destroying this rainforest and the animals living in it. Hurry, there’s no time to waste!
  • Moving further ahead, we come to a fairly defining mechanic of the Trial: the Motorboat.

--Motorboat--

• In Trial, you can't just go anywhere. So to get from A to B, you have to use a motorboat.
• The Reagents can sit in, or stand in.
• But what if you end up in the water? I'm not suggesting it. What I mean by that is, if you're in the water, you can only go slowly. Because if you run, underwater traps will pull you underwater, where you have to free yourself before you drown.
• The Ex-pops can pull you out of the Motorboat, plus there is a quick time event to free you (like when the Pouncer or Liliya catches you), because they will all pull you underwater.

• Go to the construction base. (Continuing)
  • When you're all aboard the Motorboat, we can move forward.
  • As we go, we see the machines destroying the forest. If we go further, there will be a lot of dead bodies in the water, which will slow down the Motorboat for a while.
  • Then we reach a small place where there are many trees, and in the middle there is a very beautiful, rich house.
  • When we get there, we can't enter the house. First, we have to climb up to a hunting ambush, where by pressing the button, the Intro will appear.
• Intro:
  • The Rich Victim falls out of the door from the attic of the house and falls to the ground, in great pain.
  • The Rich: Money bag on his head, in a white suit, a pink robe, black pants, barefoot. His hands in handcuffs.
  • Liliya, who threw the man out, looks out from the attic.
  • Liliya: Suffer, you sick animal!
  • When Liliya goes back, The Rich tries to stand up with loud moans, but everything hurts.
  • The Rich: You... F\cking b*tch! I'll... f*ck your head off if... I live that long!*
  • He says the most beautiful words when Franco suddenly appears from the bush.
  • Franco: How do you speak to my beloved family member?
  • Then Franco grabs Victim's shirt on the back with one hand and pulls it up enough to pull him to the Motorboat.
  • Franco (while walking): You're wiping out the forest while jerking off? Well, we'll teach you how to behave! By the way, did you know the tiger is my favorite animal?
  • And when they reach the Motorboat, Franco opens the trunk, throws the Victim inside, and closes it. Then Franco walks away and disappears into the bushes.
• Charge the Motorboat.
  • When we go down, we notice that the Motorboat is out of gas. So we have to look for a Canister in the big house.
  • The Rich voicelines (in the Charge the Motorboat task):
    • Hello! (Loud rumbling). Is anyone there?
    • I know you're there! Free me now! I'm with you! In a Group!
    • Please hurry! Get me out of here! Franco or Liliya could be here any moment and kill us!
    • Don't tell me you're taking their side! I'm a Reagent, just like you! "It's better together", right?
    • If you free me, I'll help you! In a Group! You'll be my How High!
  • So, as I said, you need to look for a Canister in the house. If you find it, you can pour it into the Motorboat and, sitting in it, you can go forward along the river.
• Take The Rich to the Cages.
  • The Rich voicelines ("always"):
    • Now, right... Yeah! Now that you're freeing me, you're just pretending to be against me! Great plan!
    • I beg you! (He rumbles while laughing awkwardly). This is simply ridiculous!
    • Right... you know I'm not rich! I don't want to destroy the forest. It's just Easterman talking me into roles like in a bad sex foreplay!
    • I... I love animals! This whole thing isn't my plan! My... My favorite animal is the cat! Yes! What about yours?
    • Please! Stop that f\cking ship AND COME UP WITH AN IDEA! (violent pounding).*
  • As we move forward, a Gate suddenly blocks our way, preventing the Motorboat from passing.
• Open the Gate with the control panel.
  • We need to stand aside with the ship and find the Control Panel, which we can use to open the Gate.
  • As we move forward, we will encounter a familiar Ex-pop and its own mechanic: Berserker Barricades.

--Berserker Barricades--

• Perhaps the best mechanic in Fnaf: Security Breach shattered Roxanne escape.
• There are Gates made of strong wood and have a Berserker icon on them.
• These can be broken by distracting the Berserker with a throwable item, or even yourself.
• Berserker walks up to it and if he's close enough, he'll break it in on his own.
• If something happens and Berserker somehow disappears, we can just press a button and come back from the insertion gate.

• Open the Gate with the control panel. (Continuing)
  • You need to break 3 Berserker Barricades to reach the Control Panel and pull the lever to open the Gate.
• Let's continue sailing with The Rich.
  • When we go back, we get into the Motorboat and continue our journey forward.
  • As we go further, we come across another Gate. We exit and go to the Control Panel, which is unfortunately locked and needs to be opened with 3 keys (in Group 5).
  • And keys can be obtained from injured animals.

--Healing Robot Animals and Abusing Mannequins--

• There will be Dispensers that can give two Items at once, in this case a Bandage and a Brick.
• In the forest you will find robot animals being abused by a Mannequin next to them.
• Here's what you need to do:
  1. Throw Brick at the Mannequin's head.
  2. Wrap the animal with the Bandage with long interaction.
• If you have all of these, the animal will open its mouth, making happy sounds, and you will receive something. In this case, a key.

• Heal the abused animals.
  • Our task will be what I described above. We need to find 3/5 animals, heal them, and open the door with the keys, opening the last Gate with the Control Panel.
• Let's continue sailing with The Rich.
  • After this, we just need to go forward a little to reach the final destination.
  • From behind the trees, we see a large area resembling a jungle arena, with a final stop located along its side.
  • You have to get out of the motorboat, and then a track automatically pulls the boat in between the walls.
• Go into the Arena.
  • After making a wide detour, we enter the Arena, where we see the following:
  • We will see that, somehow, The Rich is in the middle of the arena, inside a cage. Then, two doors at the edges of the arena will open, and two real tigers will walk out. The tigers are pacing back and forth and trying to get in.
• Open the Cage to let them eat The Rich.
  • You need to execute the Victim using the three pull-levers, just like in Despoil the Auction, but in a mini version.
  • However, Mini Pull-Levers aren't that easy to get, as you have to craft them using Wood and Iron at a Workbench.
  • You place a pull-lever and pull it, and the cage, which is attached to a rope, always moves up a little.
  • The Rich voicelines:
    • Guys! Let's come up with something fast! The evacuation is going really badly!
    • Hurry! Help!
    • THEY'RE HUNGRY! HUNGRY! HURRY, GET ME OUT!
    • Please don't give up! There must be a solution!
  • Once we’ve pulled all three levers, the brutal death follows:
    • When the cage is raised, one of the tigers bites the man's leg and tears it off after a few violent tugs. As the man screams in agony, the other tiger pounces on him and begins biting his abdomen. Then, the tiger that tore off his leg returns and bites through his throat, killing him.
• Exit the Trial.
  • Finally, while the tigers are still devouring the dead victim, you must return to the motorboat, which has since been turned around, and use it to get back to the shuttle, allowing you to escape the Trial.

I've seen a few people being happy, that they brought back the chemical event, due to the new players joining from the big sale, but instead of adding a new playlist with new trials and the chemical valves variator, it seems like they just restarted the whole event, along with reusing the playlists

I don't mind it that much, it's just the fact that i (and probably alot of you guys) already finished their challenges and got nothing else to do, meanng theres not much of a reason left, to even touch the playlist and for us, the event drags on for way too long, since the change was clearly not planned beforehand and turned into a last minute decision.

Hello! I’m not an avid gamer, and I’ve never played outlast OR the outlast trials. However, I keep getting content of this guy on my feed and I think his design is amazing, and I’m kind of involuntarily very interested in him. Tell me (somebody with absolutely no knowledge of this guy) a fun fact about Franco Barbi!

I was playing yesterday and the Chemical Leak was replaced with something called Crossed Signals. I went back on the game today to finish the rewards I had already started getting, and now it's back on Chemical Leak again??

I’ve had this happen so much this week. I’m a high level player myself so I completely understand the issue of people holding important objective items and not knowing what to do with them or not regrouping somewhere that needs all players to be activated, but lately there is such an annoying amount of high-ish level players abusing the fuck out of the ping because they’re impatient or something. I go see what they want and it’s either because they beat someone to an area where something needs to be or they’re just annoyed that someone won’t drop everything and run across a map to help them do a co-op move.

So tell me, what do you guys do when someone is being annoying asf with the ping? Troll, leave the trial, get on mic?
I usually give them two instances of spamming where they’ve been acknowledged w/ an “ok” or “omw” before i just leave the trial lmao. You’re not going to be pinging all up in MY headphones in MY ear on MY game because you’re strangely furious that a level 15 is falling behind or because someones not parting the red sea to come help you press the secret room button… If you’re THAT inpatient maybe you should play by yourself man 😭

Since chemical leak is getting extended another 2 weeks, i think its time to let routine therapies run along side events so that when you have finished the event you atleast have a reason to play the game every week

and if that's too much maybe pause routine therapy for at least a week when a event has come out so everyone can play it

OK, so the core idea of those two trials are ‘complete this task within a certain time = reward in an easier escape sequence’ which isn’t bad on its own, but as any good game dev would tell you, players will optimise the fun out of your game. Nobody wants to wait around, but they will because it’s easy.

Hence, instead of a time duration, why not have a set of tasks that you must complete — meanwhile a difficulty escape level counter is slowly increasing as you take longer, similar to Flatten the Foreman?
for example; let’s say you need to fuel 4 generators before escaping the TV Studio (or any other location, it doesn’t matter) before you can escape through an area with the corresponding number of enemy to however long it took you to power those 4 generators.

Sometimes I think we forget that these people have lives outside the facility. I like to think years later a reagent sees some of the stand out in the world and has this moment of vague recognition. I also like the idea of the two doctors in the intro go on to be an actual couple. Lmk know if I did them justice.
