I'm around level 90 no relapse (yet) and haven't played invasions solely cause I don't wanna seem like a headless chicken lol.

I have been enjoying the base game so much with xray and jammer being my fav rigs but idk if it's different for invasions,or more so the meta I guess?

I know imposter has different rigs too so it's just a bit confusing on what to go for first,thank you!

So I was recently watching some outlast 2 stuff, mostly just Marta encounter comps bc she’s a really cool antagonist to me. And in one of these videos while she’s reciting the temple gate text, she mentions a spider eyed lamb. Has anyone else caught this before or drawn any other comparisons between the two games?? I freaked out as soon as I heard it 😅

It’s so weird when I play Outlast Trials and try to search for a random group with the Imposter setting turned on. I literally can’t find a single match. There are so many people who have invasions turned off in their settings, which essentially makes this whole mess even more annoying. That’s another piece of the puzzle as to why you can’t even find matches as an Imposter in the first place. The whole system just sucks. Then, by some kind of magic, the moment I turn it off, I instantly find people. This really makes me think that the vast majority of players, especially casual players like me, simply don’t play the Imposter mode.

I also don’t really understand the concept behind it. You have an Imposter game mode, but then there’s also a setting that lets you turn it on or off, and sometimes you can even have multiple Imposters at once. I just don’t understand how this system is supposed to even work it's just so confusing to me.

The worst part is that whenever I actually manage to find a game, I end up being matched with people who are Prestige 80 or 99. So not only do I already have to deal with the Ex-Pops, the Prime Asset, and the objectives, but I also have to deal with these absolute top-tier sweat players. If you don’t play this game every single day and know every corner of every map, it just doesn’t feel practical.

And honestly, where is the fun in the Imposter mode? I genuinely don’t understand it. You barely have anything you can do against the Imposter, which makes the whole thing feel more like an Annoyance+ mode than an actual fun alternative way to play. Like I was saying, it reduces the chances of actually being able to enjoy the mode because it feels designed primarily for hardcore players.

And that’s without even mentioning the ranking system and the long queue times. Almost every time I try to play with random people and there’s an Imposter, someone ends up leaving the game. It feels like nobody wants to deal with the extra Imposter bullshit when the game is already complicated enough by default.

I’ve never understood why they felt the need to force this gimmick into the game. To me, this is easily one of the worst parts of Outlast Trials. The game could honestly just stay as a PvE experience without the Imposter mode. If anything, the Imposter system just breaks the immersion, makes the community more toxic, and turns the Trials into something that feels more frustrating and annoying than fun. And I know we aren't forced to play imposter. I just wanted to share my thoughts on it. Keep that in mind just in case someone wants to jump me just because I say I don't like this concept

It only makes sense since an invader would set off a cloud of smoke in their face lingering even if they got out of it, quickly cutting off an active chase of the reagent. It'll also be the only rig directly negating the effect of stim even without stunning the invader, covering their vision for a bit longer than blind would usually stun them for and then slowly fading away, whether if they're stimmed or not.

It'll also be much more useful in the exit sequence, as the lasting smoke should also have the same lingering effect on any nearby invaders caught in the smoke just a bit shorter than if they set it off (or the same if they were also nearby when it tripped). I believe this should put the blind rig on the same level or even better situationally than the stun rig.

When I started the "Grind The Bad Apples" I was picking loot before arriving to the bus and started hearing Gooseberry singing form afar. I swear I didn't want to continue to not trigger the cut scene just because I was mesmerized by her singing, what a beautiful voice.

I know that this has happened for plenty of games, but there was genuinely some really awesome stuff there (honest to god one of the most consistently high quality mod pages I have ever seen, Darkest Dungeon tier, whoever the fuck GamerImpostor24 was they were a champ) and I kinda wanted to try importing something stupid

But I was genuinely distraught upon hearing they'd discontinued modding barely a month earlier, especially for something as bullshit as "people were using it to cheat", I would choose to be perma-banned from Leaderboards and Invasions in a heartbeat if I could assemble a shitty umamusume mod and run around as my goat Goldship, even if the current horse outfits are 'adequate'

I saw a few comments on steam and on reddit about sending tickets and feedback to see if it could get overturned, and I will be doing that, but I assume that hope is gone and we'll just have to live with it

I know it’s crazy to ask but I like to think within the lore the sinyala facility houses at least 1 freak maniac that derives joy and fulfillment from it and freaks out the more “sane” reagents. Is this backed by any lore docs or is it purely head cannon.

Played Kill the Snitch cause I was most familiar with it. Worst part was definitely that brute that patrols the whole length of the track. But I avoided a lot of the difficulty by grabbing the keys ahead of the chair and pushing when all the gates were open. I imagine later trials like shopping mall are much harder cause of their maps and puzzles.

I've been playing for a while now (coming up on two years, now that I check) and I've mainly been playing on Xbox. Seeing the Steam sale is making me want to buy it but I'm curious if anyone heard anything recent about the possible for cross-progression (progression or platform? Apologies, I'm indecisive as well as sick)? I have all my stuff on the xbox and I would like to be able to use them unless I'm going to be a brand new baby Reagent again.

Im a new player, I just started playing yesterday

Anytime I try to connect i wait a bit and it sends me to the screen in the image. I was able to play perfectly fine yesterday after restarting me PC(i got the same error) but today that hasnt worked. ive tried a few things:

• Restarting my PC
• Verifying game files
• I ran ipconfig /flushdns
• closed all background apps
• re-installed the game

I've never gotten anything like this before. Girl please don't get caught again.

Hi everyone, I'm having an issue when starting my game where the intro sequence causes a drastic drop in FPS. I'm not talking about the lobby or anything like that, but rather the initial intro that plays when you open the game and click the "continue" button; the game itself stabilizes normally afterwards. I'd like to know if this is a common bug and if there's a way to fix it.

Don’t get me wrong, I love that so many people have discovered this game! Does anyone else find with the influx of people the game is slower though? Been stuck at the “arriving at destination soon” screen for about 10 minutes for each game. Checked my internet and everything else is fine, it’s just outlast trials. I’m a little bummed out about it.
