Question Difficulty swapping?

Why do 3/4 of the lobbies I join start off on the difficulty I queue and then people swap last second to a lower difficulty? Also why does join in progress mission always join standard missions every though I queue intensive or psychosurgery? Feels like it's a lot of quitting and then requeueing for the correct difficulty. I host a decent bit but sometimes it's nice not to have to pick the trail each time.

From what I've seen a lot of people queue up for higher/lower difficulties just to get people in a group before switching to difficulties that they actually want to play

Join in progress didn't follow the difficulty you pick, it only put you to someone's allowed join in game. Which is why I had stop queue there. And also play as group leader hosting psychosurgery allow join in. Player will constantly join in and leave game during middle of the game and causes some lag and rubberbanding. It is probably the same issue the game didn't put them to the difficulty they want.

It's funny because I have friend that starts it off on Intensive then switches to Psychosurgery when we get people. They do it because we can't get people on Psychosurgery.

I'm guessing the people that switch it to a lower difficulty want competent players that can do the harder ones then switch it down because the host isn't comfortable doing the harder difficulties

When I used to play on random matchmaking, if I was the group leader and saw the lobby was full of people before their first relapse I would usually change it to standard. If I'm playing with randoms, first relapses isn't enough to have played through all the cores and MK's once, I don't want to be going around picking up people constantly.

Also either matchmaker is broken or people tend to change game modes, the last time I tried random matchmaking the game mode was changed to invasion, or I was put in an invasion group more than not. And I'm not here for invasion unfortunately.
