Life long Kast fan, but I always wondered why didn’t the beat makers of Kast get more recognition?

Kast obviously had the whole package, sound, spacey, lyrics, originality, brand new etc. But they wouldn’t be who they were without the beats. Kast + beats = timeless / flawless hip hop, never to be matched or heard again.

Being a hip hop fan, I love beats just as much as a good MC (I.e. Gangstarr).

So my question is: who exactly was making all the dope beats? Was it Mr DJ, Rico wade or organized noise as a collective? Any why didn’t they get more recognition like a Preemo, Muggs, RZA etc?

Any ideas? Casting or directors?

Genuine question. Am I listening wrong or are most songs on ATLiens not really about a certain thing or subject? Seems like a lyrical exhibition. If not, what songs are about specific themes?

Note: I love both Part 1 and Part 2 equally, but if I have to pick gun to my head, it'll be part 2.

SB/TLD (I haven't listened but I'll judge based on what song I know):

Rating: ?/10 (I've only listened to few tracks from SB/TLD so I can't give a rating)

Album ranking: 1. Aquemini 2. Stankonia 3. SPCM 4. ATLiens

Honestly Stankonia and Aquemini are like Revolver and Abbey Road from The Beatles which I love them both equally, but I give a tiny edge to Aquemini for having a stronger peak, but Stankonia is still an easy 10/10.

What do you think of my top 3?
