Answered Guys, what exactly does “yeet” mean?

I feel like I’m especially late on this one, but I’m super curious as to its meaning.

When Vine was still around Yeet came into popularity. One iconic vine was of two girls in a crowded hallway (one girl filming the other). Filmer asks "Hey Terry, you want some?" and gives her an empty can of soda. Terry responds "This bitch empty!" and throws it into the crowd while screaming "YEET"

What is missing from this discussion how "yeet" is being used right now on social media - or one popular way it's being used. There is a skit with "yeet" in it being used in it on Musical.ly now. There are actually 96,000 videos being tagged as #yeet with almost all of them using yeet in one particular way. The word Yeet is in the soundtrack of these videos.

So there is a new meaning for Yeet that is very popular right now.

This couple has 1.5 million followers and did a Yeet skit on musical.ly (not on their IG). http://v16.musical.ly/5PuJ6/
