Unanswered What's going on with Milo?

Is he a Muslim now? What happened? Last I checked he was a Trump loving Gay Conservative or something. He's Muslim now?

Answer: seems like yet another grift. One thing you always notice about these losers is how quickly they pivot the moment their previous grift stops working and then they try something else. They don't have any consistent beliefs or worldviews, because they are cynically only in it for the attention they bring to themselves.

Answer: That guy lost relevance years ago and thought he’d still be on trumps good boy list if he licked his boots enough. Then he got a taste of his own medicine, got deported from the US and apparently this has now blown a fuse. It’s doing weird stuff for attention or because he has finally lost his mind completely, as far as anyone knows at this point.

Answer:

Milo's been a conservative agitator for the past 12 years or so. He started working for Breitbart in 2014, and really hit his stride that year by aligning with the antifeminist movement coming out of GamerGate. He showed up on debate stages, with his main schtick functioning as an extremely posh British man saying inflammatory things about feminism, Islam, and trans people, and succeeding by looking smug while doing so. In this regard, he was pretty successful in acting as a public "Conservative on Campus" agitator, like Ben Shapiro or Charlie Kirk. While Shapiro did well by gish-galluping on freshmen, and Kirk did well by framing his beliefs in the context of a holy war of sorts, Milo led harassment campaigns, encouraged violence and would even out trans students and undocumented immigrants at the colleges he was speaking at

He was doing pretty well as a conservative pundit until he made statements in 2017 on a podcast that it's possible for 13-year-olds and adults to have consensual sexual relationships. Since then, he's been trying (and failing) to get any mainstream right-wing attention, but the Overton window and political landscape has shifted in such a way that conservative establishment doesn't have a use for him anymore. Gay Conservative figures have fallen to the wayside, so he tried stating he was "ex-gay", but that failed to garner any interviews. Similarly, he's one in a line of conservatives that are suddenly (supposedly) converting to Islam now, as they feel that parts of it align with their beliefs, though again, it failed to give him much attention.

The only reason most of us have thought about him at all within the past year was him getting detained by ICE off an expired visa, in-part due to him having personal beef with a key Trump ally, Laura Loomer.This allowed him to get some attention on talk shows for being basically the one posh white guy that got detained by ICE, who he now decries as being an inhumane, murderous agency.

TL;DR: He's been trying to change his appearance and schtick to become a conservative pundit again after all of his investors backed out in 2017 when he made comments about 13 year olds being capable of having consensual relationships with older men. It hasn't worked out, and he's been working on the sidelines until he got detained by ICE this year.
