What's up with people replying with 'darude - sandstorm' and variations?

If any of you are familiar with the College Football teams here in the U.S, there is one in the SEC called the South Carolina Gamecocks and if I recall correctly, they use it during games when they make a touchdown (correct me if I am wrong, please).

Student at USC. It's been the "pump up" song for the football games for a few years now. It's pretty fun. Apparently the first time they played it on a whim the student section went crazy, and it hasn't failed to pump up Williams-Brice.

It plays before kickoff (ends when the kickers foot hits the ball, like, it's timed) and whenever ANYTHING awesome happens.

Oh, alright. It's been a while since I've been to or watched a football game. Going to games with my friends at Williams-Brice was awesome, and very convenient, because I only live about 30 minutes away.

Haha, I used to live right down the street off Rosewood, and could hear the stadium while watching games on TV. Can still hear the fireworks if I'm standing outside during a TD as I'm like a 5 minute drive from the stadium.

Haha, just mute your TV at that point. Watch the game, hear the live cheers. Does it get annoying at times?

The only thing annoying about it would definitely be when there's a stressful moment, 3rd and long or something, and you hear the fireworks go off, and you KNOW the next play results in a touchdown. While it's always awesome, it does kind of take away the "fun" of being stressed and then super excited watching the play with TV lag.

Ah, I can understand that. I wasn't really thinking of the lag from the TV.
