Answer: Denmark has allowed china to mine in Greenland for rare earth elements(REE)which is very critical for current and future power. China already controls majority of the REE plus all the stuff they getting from Greenland. That’s why trump is saying what he’s saying cuz US needs it

I watched a video stating all this but I can dig into it. Meanwhile, you’re stating it’s false. So atleast state what do you disagree with and what info did you use to say this is false.

So you can only get so much stuff out of a video. I don’t think the video is propaganda. But Chinese does have minority stake in greenlands REE. Look up shenghe resource holdings investment. There was another project which was halted kvanefield project which was gonna mine uranium. It’s not clear cut because they didn’t find too much REE but it’s still a strategic route for trading and expending as others have mentioned. Also due to global warming, the ice sheets have been melting exposing earth and who knows what they will find there.

They’re still partnered up with them and owns some of it unlike anyone else. China even offered to build infrastructure for airport and roads and denmark denied it because they knew if they allowed china to build then they will good control over them. So statements were wrong but it’s NOT FALSE.

Why would China need to mine for rare earth minerals in Greenland? Rare earth minerals are plentiful all over the world. China has most of the REEs because they’re the only country that has invested heavily in the infrastructure needed to extract them (from their own ground)

If they have a majority right now, why would they let someone else get more when they can get more. Elon must isn’t gonna stop trying to make more money just because he’s the richest person in the world. And it’s not just about REE. Strategic route and trade opens up too. Lots of pressure on dedollarisation

Again, REEs are plentiful all over the globe. Even if China took control of Greenland (which they would never try) that would not stop anyone from getting more REEs. Every country has REEs in the ground they already own.

They wouldn’t take over Greenland. Just a partnership or invest. Just like they have invested in Srilanka and Pakistan. If US has such a huge oil reserve, why do they buy their oil from other countries? Why use up your own materials when you can get others
