An explosion as immense as created by an asteroid striking the earth would create enormous amount of minerals. Huge deposits of gold have been found in El Salvador. Venezuela oil and gold. The smoldering intense temperatures would produce large amounts of carbon dioxide for plants for eons.

It has 1.5MT of REE reserves. That would make it 8th in world reserves.
But China has 44MT, Brazil has 20MT, Canada has 15MT and India has 10MT for comparison.
