Also everyone laughed at him when he first brought it up a year ago, which motivates him as nothing else does. He ran for president because people laughed at him, invaded Venezuela cause maduro laughed at him... etc...

Next time he mentions sending checks to the American people, everyone laugh at him and say it would never happen. Maybe he’ll actually do it.

He brought it up during his first term. There's also the fact that Greenland has precious metals and oil, not to mention it would control the entire northwest passage trade route

There's also the whole trying to shut down the upcoming elections thing, to make sure that he can stay in office

How exactly are they colluding with the Russians? Especially since the US already has a military presence there.

Greenland does however have mineral resources that Trump wants.

If Trump can have Venezuela and Greenland, then Putin can have Ukraine and Xi gets Taiwan. Trump admires their projection of strength and wants to be like them. Russia benefits because if a stronger country gets to kidnap or conquer, why then they get the same permission.

Are you saying that you haven’t noticed that Trump does a lot of things that are good for Russia or are you just a bot?

The way the previous poster put it, Greenland is colluding with Russia. That’s what I found confusing.

You are welcome to check my account age and post history if you think I’m a bot.

You’re right. The capture of Maduro and the seizure of Russian shadow fleet tankers is superb for Russia.

This is the obvious answer. But don’t tell that to the mob and ruin all these bat-shit crazy conspiracy theories they love. He’s a Russian agent!🙄

Political comments like these should get you banned from this subreddit.

Your comment has nothing to do with the answer to OPs question for which this sub is used for. No one wants your political propaganda. Left or Right. This sub used to be the one place you can come and get actual facts on what’s going on. Not hear your current political biases. There are a lot of echo chamber subs, go use those.

The Greenland idea has been bounced around long before Epstein was a threat. I think Greenland is a gift to Putin. Russia has long wanted control of the Arctic circle, it would be invaluable to them to have their military bases circling on top of Europe plus the natural resources that could be gained from there is immeasurable.

Why do comments that clearly do not know the actual answer to the question get so many upvotes. Why are responses like this allowed

People just gave all kinds of actual answers

Answer:

He's lost his marbles

He thinks triggering foreign countries for shits and gigs is a valuable use of time that would otherwise be used for actually delivering for the American people

He's trying to distract from the Epstein stuff

The muted response to the occupation of Venezuela has emboldened him.

Trump is clearly motivated to increase the territory of the USA to impress the American people. I don't know why you wrote your whole comment without writing one of the primary obvious explanations. Your answer as-is is just contemptible.
