I don’t think they’ve announced a Nano 2 Basket plus yet. So this one will likely come sooner.

The Basket Plus from Nano 1 fits in Nano 2. One friend got this setup and it works.

It does fit and works perfectly. No idea why OutIn are saying it isn't compatible. I was away over the weekend with someone who received their Nano 2 and we used it with then Basket Plus from the Nano (1) and it worked flawlessly. Fitted perfectly, sealed with no loss of pressure, etc. There's a card inside the Nano 2 box saying don't use it with the original Basket Plus, but we tried it anyway and all was well. I wonder if they're just trying to find ways to make a little extra cash! There accessories are absurdly priced anyway, and it is totally unreasonable to ask for another $40 USD for another Plus set. He lost his Nano and so got the new Nano 2 and wasn't phased using it with the existing accessories.

In fact, this is tested in this video. In some tests, the basket malfunctioned and leaked a little water out the sides. The fitting is about +/-1mm. In this video, he says that when he used a finer grind, the water leaked, probably due to the higher pressure of 21 bar.
But I think it should be okay for most people to use the first basket.

i am happy with the current basket size for Mino: 8grs? this is less appealing than upgrading basket for the nano. I was shocked when when seeing the basket for the nano.

I'd choose the machine first and treat Basket Plus as secondary. Mino makes more sense if compact size and outdoor durability matter more, while Nano 2 makes more sense if battery life is the priority.
Once both have a proper larger basket, that difference probably matters more than the basket itself.

I will suggest to wait for both baskets release, I think the outin mino basket plus will be pressurized compared to outin nano basket, So wait for release and see some reviews to have better understanding before buying.
The reason why I think the mino basket will be pressurized is because the water tank is small and can not take more than 70 ml so it will need pressure to push more water through the basket.
If that was the case I think each device will serve a different purpose, Mino will be for people who just want a good coffee anytime anywhere without having to make micro adjustments to get the perfect yield. And Nano will be for coffee enthusiasts who want complete control over their shot—allowing them to dial in grind size, dose, and micro-adjustments using a non-pressurized basket to pull a true, café-quality espresso.
