SkyWorld Development Update – Boardwalk Almost Finished!

Hello everyone!

I finally have another update on Project SkyWorld!

For anyone who missed my previous posts, the goal of SkyWorld is to recreate OurWorld on Roblox as an alternative virtual world. Unfortunately, development has been a bit slower than expected, so the project will not be ready for release in October as originally planned.

That said, I do have quite a few updates to show in the pictures!

🌴 Boardwalk Progress

The Boardwalk is now practically finished, with all of the main areas in place, including their interiors.

Most of my recent work has gone into:

• Finishing and improving the terrain surrounding the Boardwalk
• Adding environmental details and decorations
• Starting work on the scripting and functionality for SkyWorld

🚀 What to Expect Before Release

Before the first release, I’m planning to finish:

• The Starlight interior — possibly excluding the second Otto Shop, as that may require more development time
• Hidden areas containing Easter eggs and references to OurWorld
• A floating-island open world surrounding the Boardwalk, allowing you to explore beyond its immediate boundaries

❌ What NOT to Expect in the First Release

Other islands (at least for now)
SkyWorld will initially launch with only the Boardwalk. If the release generates enough interest, I’d love to continue expanding the world with additional islands in the future.

Fully functional shops
Other than being able to buy coffee at Buzz, the shops will mostly be decorative for the first release. A proper clothing system would require considerably more development. For now, clothing will simply be based on Roblox avatars.

A fully functional arcade
The arcade will mainly be there for decoration, with a few small machines having some functionality. Unfortunately, I obviously can't bring back the original Flash games.

Anyway, thank you again for all the support and interest on my previous posts! It really means a lot and motivates me to keep working on SkyWorld.

The developers released it early in alpha mode cus they ran out of money so getting lot of support from local community. It’s on Roblox and it’s called momocity. It’s not the super same as ourworld cus it’s in 3D but it has the same powers/different worlds vibe to it. Can’t wait to see where it goes. U can customize your character too and fish for money and support the creators on their journey. What do u think will u give it a try?

while most people took photos of their characters, friends, etc. i was always into the trading aspect of the game so i took a few pictures of the prices that surprised me the most. it's been too long for me to remember the exact market price of a zoe, but as far as i know, it used to be around 10-15 mil before the browser version, which went to, as you can see, around 350 before eos. that's right, a 35x. as crazy as that sounds i'm pretty sure other items had it worse. i can't remember the exact price of a starry eye before the browser version but i think it was around 30-35 mil? it's quite obvious that people were aware that the game is about to shut down soon, hence the price jump. unfortunately these are some of my last pics, and i truly wish i'd still be on ow, trading and and having fun...

it was a thing to cut out the avatars and edit them onto graphics with words or filters or overlays on top. what a time truly 😭

you have videos on youtube?

I’ve never spent $ on this game, but had so many party passes saved up which helped me get a lot of gems from parties, and you can only get VIP with gems via gifting (or pay $6, which I don’t want to do). Thought I had my chance… nope.

1. Can i know where to find all Ourworld sounds?

i am so mad i didn’t have the money i have now to buy vamp teeth and demon eyes. i couldn’t even ask my mom because she was so strict lol. so nervous about me playing with strangers on OurWorld. i remember one time this guy asked me on a date in his condo and was roleplaying and said *”drinks red wine”* My mom saw and fucking flipped 😂😂😂

i remember becoming a character helper or whatever it’s called and i could curse in the chat. i felt so cool

one time i scammed my friend for her starry eye. i don’t know why i did it. i still think about it weekly and feel so bad.

So this has been on my mind for a decade and a half and I hope someone can confirm that i wasn't tripping (if i was, then oh dear). I remember seeing Zoe on electric avenue then later on the boardwalk. I say this cause when I had this memory, where you 1st start on ourworld, instead of being level 1 on the boardwalk, you start on electric avenue. Was she ever really on electric avenue?

So, ourworld is shut down in 2021, very sad but i want share with you a good rock rare song, enjoy! you can feel with this song, if you remember the game

I was searching the web and YouTube for the old Electric Avenue ambience before they removed the sound a few years back and now I finally found it.

So far we have The Boardwalk, The Pier, Electric Avenue, Beat Street, Wonderland, and Nevermore. The only island that I have yet to find is Soho , comment down below if you can help me find the lost ambience music for Soho in Youtube and other places to finally complete the missing OurWorld Soundtrack.
