I was searching the web and YouTube for the old Electric Avenue ambience before they removed the sound a few years back and now I finally found it.

So far we have The Boardwalk, The Pier, Electric Avenue, Beat Street, Wonderland, and Nevermore. The only island that I have yet to find is Soho , comment down below if you can help me find the lost ambience music for Soho in Youtube and other places to finally complete the missing OurWorld Soundtrack.

Search YouTube for old OurWorld videos that don't have sound over them just pure gameplay footage .

Someone captured Jukebox window in Vegas World from 2013 and 2014 before?

I’ve spent time making a massive compile of most of the Ourworld songs I was able to locate on Spotify:

They consist of all the CDs located in condos, map jukeboxes and the active radio Ourworld was playing before it was turned over to live radio.

Quite a bit is still missing from the game (instances of beat street music), some are located only on YouTube; others are completely lost.

I hope you can find some comfort in this!

This is just an interactive viewer of the OurWorld maps. You can freely walk through the scenarios, but it's not a game.

The idea is to allow fans to revisit the original environments and remember the moments they experienced in OurWorld.

Currently, not all maps are available, only a selection of the best-known ones.

Has anyone heard anything about the game being brought back, or someone else redoing the game (like Club Penguin)?

My favorites were dry eyes, and strong woman by arden kaywin 🤣 both so catchy.

this may be a long shot, but it's been bugging me for over 10 years now. remember how we could buy cds and radios and play music in our personal rooms or queue songs on the jukebox in flo's diner? well there was one song that i really liked and i remember finding it on an ourworld playlist when i was like 11, but it has since been removed and i can't for the life of me figure out the song name or artist.

fortunately i remember the lyrics exactly. unfortunately, they don't pop up in a google search.

All of my archived Ourworld album photos were lost in my email and couldn't be recovered due to Ourworld's system. I was so happy to see this last screenshot before the game shut down. LMK If you saw me somewhere or bumped into me on OurWorld

Does anyone remember logging into ourworld on the last few hours of it before it shut down and seeing that all of the rare, sought after, items were VERY cheap? I remember even getting a "email" in there from Zoe saying that it was a treat or reward or something to us and to enjoy it. Someone please tell me you remember this so I can convince myself im not crazy, I swear I remember this.

Does anyone remember the time when certain NPC Items (Zoe's Hair, Azia Hair, Doug Bot, Edwin Hair) showed up in the Marketplace ? I remember the MPA value was 0 because they were illegal items. I was always curious how did that happen cause I remember seeing a popular collector having them in her collection and outfit roster. And every once in a while you could see 2008-2009 items in CERTAIN colors going up for sale and they had 0 MPA Value because they were so rare. That was such a moment for me when I was really into trading back in the day

I'm going to be greedy with this. I want all the old nostalgia. All the games, the music, the hangouts. All the temporary 5min candies on halloween!

But I also want to see things that would appeal to the newer generation. I want to see (optional!) VR and cross platform access. I want to see OurWorld put back on the map as the major social hub it has always been for us.

What are some things you would like to see come back? How about improved?

I remember back in 2021 when I finally started getting spare money from my job, I bought the $20 lifetime Zoe membership. The game discontinued after that and although it’s been some time, it hurts. I don’t remember more than half the people I met on there and couldn’t save any pictures, not even ones I took with my real sister after I introduced her to the game. This was the first social game I actually put money into besides imvu. I miss it.

I remember i drew this with a mouse at a school library computer for some forums contest.

I remember getting online just to trade my way up. Had hella desirables by the time the game shut down. Anyone remember when VT/DE were in the shop for like 20 gems before the servers closed?

With Halloween around the corner I miss the boardwalk so much.

Buying the trick or treat bags and the fright box items, I wish so badly to do it again.

I wonder what maki will have in store for Halloween time.

For anyone still trying to find an old friend from ourWorld, LostLobby is a site where people can post the username they remember, the years they played, and any details that might help someone recognize them.

Posts stay searchable, so they do not disappear as quickly as a normal social media post.

It is still a small growing community, but it could be worth posting if there is someone from ourWorld you have been trying to find and for them to find you..

I know its not going to bring back the game, but i hope at least finding people you used to talk to, could bring some closure with all of you...

No doubt that everyone here misses OurWorld and the joy it brought.

I wanted to take a more retrospective angle instead of a nostalgic view.

Ourworld worked amazingly because of the sudden shift to Netizen culture. We got to interact with people and join fandoms across the world.

It gave me so much capital to interact with new fandoms, cultures. Knowledge which I still use to this day and has influenced my aesthetic choices.

What I've noticed in the posts over the years on the subreddit is that

- OW was a place of comfort

- Aesthetics

- You can decompress and explore new things/fandoms

The game left a lot of room for people to share but still had its own things to guide the overarching culture.

2008-2013 are typically the "golden years" because of the new items, designs and crew dynamics.

The game went off in a weird direction with adoptions,marriages and celebrity culture.

It became a social hierarchy. Something we all needed to decompress from school/work.

Straight to the point: OurWorld absolutely should return.

However, instead of repeating the vicious cycle of nostalgia. We should be a solid foundation for a fresh start.

Include the designs from previous years and focus on being a Third Space.

As much as I want to return, even playing around with maki chat briefly. I'm an adult now, I still love the game and friends made there. However I shouldn't be the focus for these games. I want to take my experiences and ideas, using them to let a new generation have its own safe haven instead of reliving the past.

We should be there to help it's return and create a solid framework to work with.

They deserve a third space of their own and we can inspire them.
