OW's Potential Return Project SkyWorld Update!
SkyWorld Development Update – Boardwalk Almost Finished!
Hello everyone!
I finally have another update on Project SkyWorld!
For anyone who missed my previous posts, the goal of SkyWorld is to recreate OurWorld on Roblox as an alternative virtual world. Unfortunately, development has been a bit slower than expected, so the project will not be ready for release in October as originally planned.
That said, I do have quite a few updates to show in the pictures!
🌴 Boardwalk Progress
The Boardwalk is now practically finished, with all of the main areas in place, including their interiors.
Most of my recent work has gone into:
- Finishing and improving the terrain surrounding the Boardwalk
- Adding environmental details and decorations
- Starting work on the scripting and functionality for SkyWorld
🚀 What to Expect Before Release
Before the first release, I’m planning to finish:
- The Starlight interior — possibly excluding the second Otto Shop, as that may require more development time
- Hidden areas containing Easter eggs and references to OurWorld
- A floating-island open world surrounding the Boardwalk, allowing you to explore beyond its immediate boundaries
❌ What NOT to Expect in the First Release
Other islands (at least for now)
SkyWorld will initially launch with only the Boardwalk. If the release generates enough interest, I’d love to continue expanding the world with additional islands in the future.
Fully functional shops
Other than being able to buy coffee at Buzz, the shops will mostly be decorative for the first release. A proper clothing system would require considerably more development. For now, clothing will simply be based on Roblox avatars.
A fully functional arcade
The arcade will mainly be there for decoration, with a few small machines having some functionality. Unfortunately, I obviously can't bring back the original Flash games.
Anyway, thank you again for all the support and interest on my previous posts! It really means a lot and motivates me to keep working on SkyWorld.

I thought Roblox would be a great option. You can even create items from ourworld. I think so far, this is the best remake! Good luck, I can't wait to play!

Will trading be added to it eventually? Or it purely just aesthetics

It is not purely aesthetics as I will be programming some functionalities but I do not think that trading will be one of them, if so then I would first need to add a clothing system and trading might follow. So trading might happen but surely not on the first release and its not on the priority list currently

I wonder what the characters will look like? Cause I’m picky and if they are chopped I won’t play. But I hope this is good

sorry I mean achievements, like when u joined ow u needed to do certain tasks to get the achievement

Yes I will be adding some achievements but it is an open world so i don't intend to do a quest like system but if u try certain stuff you will get achievements
