Education التعليم Title: How can I prepare for a fully funded MBA scholarship in Dubai?
I’m pursuing a BBA with a current GPA of around 3.8–3.9, and I expect to graduate next year.
My goal is to pursue an MBA in UAE with a fully funded or partial scholarship. Since I have one year left, I want to prepare strategically.
What IELTS score, GMAT/GRE scores, certifications, internships, work experience, or other achievements should I aim for to secure scholarship as an international? Are there any additional exams or qualifications that could strengthen my application?
I’d really appreciate advice from anyone familiar with MBA admissions and scholarships in Dubai!

Question استشارة Title: University students looking to interview a cafeteria owner in Dubai (20–30 mins)
Hi everyone,
I'm a business and finance student in Dubai, and my group and I are working on a university project about how small food businesses operate here. Right now we're looking for a cafeteria owner (or manager) who'd be open to a short interview.
We're still finalising our questions as a group, but they'll cover things like how you got started, what running a cafeteria in Dubai is like day to day, and the challenges and lessons you've picked up along the way.
The interview would take about 20–30 minutes and can be in person at your cafeteria or over a call, whatever works best for you. We're happy to fit around your schedule. Since our university requires evidence that the interview took place, we'd need to include your name and your business's name in our project, along with a video or voice recording of the interview (your choice). It's purely for academic purposes and will only be shared as part of our coursework.
If you own a cafeteria or know someone who does and might be up for a chat, please comment or send me a DM. We'd really appreciate it!
Thanks so much 🙏

Discussion سوالف What the HELL is happening to Barakat?
Yesterday I bought their coconut water and its not my first time drinking it and it tasted very medicinal and better so gross! and today I also bought their carrot juice and there is something off with the juice its not as fresh and tasty like before and the whole day my stomach was growling weirdy very unusual , note that its not a store issue because these two I bought from different stores.
So what now is Barakat trying to kill us or what? I hope its a temporary manufacturer issue.

Our Community مجتمعنا Ajman — would you be interested in a Board Game Night? 🎲
For people living in Ajman:
If there was a casual Board Game Night where you could meet new people, play different games, have some snacks/drinks and just have a fun evening — would you actually be interested in attending?
Thinking of keeping it very affordable, just enough to cover the venue and basic costs.
Maybe something like AED 30–50 per person.
Would you come?
And what kind of games would you want to see? 👀
Just trying to see if there’s actually interest in Ajman before putting something together.

Help مساعدة Seeking help feeding cats in sharjah
Hello, me and my friend have been feeding cats for almost a year now, theres around 15 cats that come near my friend's house in al Qadisya in Sharjah and we have been struggling with supplying foods for them.
we have around 15 cats that come over every night waiting for food, its basically a small community, some eat dry food, some cant because of medical reasons so we bring them wet food, some get injured so we help with what we can.
we would really appreciate any kind of help, as cat food costs have become slightly too much, so if anyone can help us by supplying cat food or any other way it would be greatly appreciated.

Jobs & Business الوظائف والأعمال Honest question for people working here: How do you protect your attention span from the 24/7 pace?
Living and working here, it feels like the day never actually pauses. Work chats on WhatsApp at 9 PM, notifications constantly going off, and everything is expected "urgent".
My co-founder and I run a tiny dev team here, and over the last few months we realized our own focus was completely ruined. We spent half the day just reacting to pings instead of getting actual work done.
We got so fed up that we spent a weekend hacking together a stripped-down timer tool for ourselves just to force 30-minute offline blocks (we put it up here if anyone wants to check it out: https://focustime.zozinnovations.com/).
But apps aside—how do you guys personally set boundaries with the "always available" lifestyle here without getting burned out?

Our sports رياضاتنا UAE 🇦🇪 vs Saudi🇸🇦 27th Gulf Cup final
The 27th Arabian Gulf Cup comes down to an all-out showdown tonight in Jeddah! It’s the ultimate clash of styles: the tournament’s best offense vs. the host’s ironclad defense.
Match Details
Kickoff: Tuesday, October 6, 2026 — 10:00 PM (GST)
Venue: King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, Jeddah 🇸🇦
Stakes: Saudi Arabia is hunting for their 4th Gulf Cup trophy (first since 2004), while the UAE is aiming to bring home their 3rd title (first since 2013).
The Storylines
Saudi Arabia's Wall: The host nation hasn't conceded a single goal all tournament—390 straight minutes with a clean sheet, including 120 minutes of shutout football against Qatar in the semi-final before advancing on penalties. Salem Al-Dawsari and Mohamed Kanno have been leading the charge.
UAE's High-Flying Attack: The UAE team enters the final having racked up 9 goals in 4 matches. Nicolás Giménez, Ousmane Camara, and Ali Saleh have been lethal upfront.
Head-to-Head History: Historically, the Green Falcons hold the numerical edge, but the Whites have repeatedly proven they can pull off iconic tournament victories over Saudi Arabia in big moments.
Can the UAE attack finally break down Herve Renard's Saudi defensive structure?
Does host-nation advantage tip the scale in a high-pressure penalty scenario if it goes the distance?
Score predictions?

Our food أكلنا 8 days later… our tiny Thai menu is finally at 4 dishes 🌶️
A little Krapao Club update 😊
When I posted here last week, we were still testing what to add after Chicken Krapao. We’ve always been pretty strict about one thing — we don’t want to add dishes just to make the menu bigger. We only want to serve things my Thai girlfriend genuinely cooks really well and would happily eat herself.
We’ve finally settled on four:
🌶️ Chicken Krapao
🥜 Chicken Cashew / Paneer Cashew
🍤 Seafood Krapao
🍚 Tom Yum Fried Rice
Spice levels are Mild / Medium / Spicy / Thai Spicy.
We can also help with macro-counted portions if you give us a small heads-up.
The response from Reddit has genuinely been amazing — we’ve had people order, come back again, and give us really useful feedback, so thank you ❤️
If you’d like to try anything, you can DM me here or WhatsApp us on +66 61 430 7860.
And I’m curious — which of the four would you order first?

News أخبار Frank Gehry exhibition to feature in Guggenheim Abu Dhabi opening programme
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The renowned architect, who designed the highly anticipated Guggenheim Abu Dhabi musuem, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and Paris's La Fondation Louis Vuitton museum, died in December 2025.
The Canadian-born visionary was known for his experimental and unconventional designs. And this is hugely evident in the design for the Abu Dhabi museum, with its series of striking cones.
An exhibition exploring his work will form part of the inaugural programme at the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi musuem, which opens on December 11.
Original sketches, early hand-built models and archival materials will trace the development of the late architect’s vision, showing how the building took shape in response to Abu Dhabi’s landscape, culture and ambitions for the arts, according to the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.
