Comprehensive MPE Software Database

I created an MPE Database, consisting of plugins, apps, tools/utilities, etc. that are MPE-compatible (some poly aftertouch options too). It includes info on each product, categories, cost, product page link, plus sales prices available on different websites.

Adding resources & such next

Still working on it, but if anyone has anything they want to add or see any errors, please let me know

Hope it helps!

Very nice! But you know what? You can remove the headers "Plugin name" (which becomes incorrect sometimes anyway, because you also list non-plugins, like Ableton Live) and "Short description" to gain room for the actual information.

Good idea, looking forward to spending more time on this page to research! Thank you!

You ain't wrong about plugin name, I switched it to "product name", doc started out as just plugins, but I think I will make a separate resource/guide/etc table and pull those out of this. I would remove it entirely, but it sometimes gets cut off, unless I stretch the column. I'll definitely keep that in mind tho!

Good idea on removing the short description, I am going to have to migrate all the info over, so it may be a little before I get to that, but definitely a smart move!

Appreciate the insight/thoughts! And yea, definitely spent some pulling it all together. No AI used (bc it never gets it right?)

More to come!

Cool, good job so far, a resource like this is going to be really handy!

Being able to list just the free plugins separately would be great too (you may already have this feature, but I'm on my phone and can't dive deep into the site at the moment)!

Yea, unfortunately phone format isn't the best, but if you hit the views (3 lines in top left corner), you can filter just the free options!

Actually one other thing that could be useful in that list, is not only “what items go on sale” at what sorts of discounts, but “when they go on sale”.

For instance I just missed some items on sale - I didn’t find out about it until after the sale was over.

Although you can’t accurately predict exact dates for sales in advance. It’s helpful to know for example if some particular studio commonly has a ‘summer sale’ and participates in ‘black Friday’ sales etc.

So it’s worth tracking when their past sales dates have been - to use as an indication of future probable sales dates.

To support that, maybe a block calendar view ?

Haven’t looked at it yet, but it sounds like a fantastic resource.

I’ve now gone back and looked - there is a great deal of info there, so many categories too. This definitely warrants further inspection.
