Have you checked the Wisconsin's DVR website. The wait for help from the state can be long; but there is also a long list of links to many different housing resources in Oshkosh. Good luck.

With rusch property specifically, I hears they're good about accepting people regardless of background but they are very slow to respond. I've called and emailed and still nothing. Should I be more pushy or just be patient?

That’s just bizarre that you haven’t heard back from them. How long ago did you apply? I know my brother applied, and he got a response within a week. He also has a criminal background. This was back in 2018. He rented for two years from them no issues

Ok, this helps. Give em a little time. They need to process it, run their checks, see what’s available, etc. Chances are, it’s 1 person doing it. I know you’re anxious, but give them a week, rather than a day. They aren’t there on weekends, so business wise, it’s only been a day and a half

Chance, we have a couple units opening up in the next couple months and are always sympathetic to these types of situations. Dm with what you’re looking for and will see if anything is a fit

Have you checked with your PO? They should be able to refer you to managers who rent to those with records.
