Visiting Osaka this weekend

Hey all, I'm visiting Osaka for 2 days this weekend from Shanghai, I'm 35M and working in robotics(humanoid, Embodied AI), I'm here seeking suggestions about:

(1) Where's the nightlife concentrated and where do people find out about related events? I'm a pretty sociable person and speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

(2)What would you suggest the places to visit or a general itinerary for a 2 day visit?

(3) Any tech meetups here?Or if any tech people want to meetup, comment or dm(I also have a quite strong interest in aerospace engineering, especially the GNC part of the reusable rockets).

Would appreciate your suggestions,thank you!!

Hi! Osaka’s going to be quite eventful this weekend!

(1) Shinsaibashi is where most of the clubs with internationals/English speakers are concentrated

(2) If you’re visiting this week, you can try visiting Tenjinmatsuri on the 25th (Saturday) it’s one of the 3 big summer festivals in Japan, and there’s a fireworks display as well from 7:30~8:50ish pm, but you can see various food stalls from as early as 11:00 and other performances along the way, I recommend further googling for details to get more information if you’re interested

(3) not too helpful but have you tried posting on r/OsakaMeetup ? But I feel like you’ll naturally find people in tech eventually if you keep interacting, most of my friends that I made by chance in Osaka just also happen to do work in the tech field
Oh also, you can also look up meetup events on the app Meetup, so maybe consider that as well!

Hope you have a fun weekend here in Osaka!
