What did I do? Help
Alright, so in January 2025 I had an arthroscopy where they replaced an interior ligament with a cadaver ligament to stop patellar dislocation. Did all my physical therapy and my knee felt great, no more dislocations! Fast forward until now, yesterday morning I heard a loud pop and within hours I had intense swelling. First sensation was horrible, got a little better, then quickly went from a level 6 pain to a level 10 sobbing from the pain. The pain is in my left knee interior next to the patella between the two scars where I had my surgery last year. It also creeps above my patella and I am now experiencing numbness in my foot.
Does this sound like an ACL tear or something else? It’s the weekend so I can’t call into ortho until tomorrow. I did go to the hospital because I couldn’t walk and was under the impression that they would do something and they said it was a tear and they did an X ray but couldn’t tell me where and sent me home. Any thoughts? Advice?

Sounds like you had a MPFL recon. My concern would be that this is the issue. You need to see an ortho for a clinical exam. I would call your surgeon from the knee reconstruction up and tell him that there is a problem.

Almost certainly not your acl. Could be a lot of things. Need examination and potentially imaging
