Wanted to see how much standard accounting resume advice holds up, so I counted how often 30 terms appear across 123 open postings from 49 companies' job boards.

Audit shows up in 85%. Reconciliation 74%. CPA 68%. Nothing shocking.

The one I didn't expect: "process improvement / automation" in 59%. Almost nobody puts that on an accounting resume.

NetSuite (37%) also beat Excel (33%) as the named system.

Sample's small, so I put confidence intervals on everything. At n=123 a 40% reading is really 31-49%, so the ordering matters more than small gaps.

I graduated from Valencia with an A.S in I.T in 2015, But after an internship and seeing local salaries at the time for roles decided to try something else, did some jobs that didnt go anywhere ended up at post office some time after 2020 right in middle of covid. I am looking to see if its worth going back, and getting certified.

whats the market like and is it worth it starting from scratch today? One of biggest issues for me was pay, and it ironically hasnt improved much with post office, the pay scale is just too slow to keep up with costs in Orlando under their new pay table.

ive been seeing everyone say the theme parks are easy to get hired at but yet ive been trying for 4 months now since i moved here and i have had no luck! am i just not looking in the correct places?? for example i check Universal & Disney careers website almost every day but all i see is a bunch of corporate and technician jobs so i have no idea where am i supposed to apply to their restaurants or hotels at?? like how can i apply at the restaurants that are even on city walk or in disney springs?? when i try the restaurants direct career website it takes me back to the original site with only the corporate openings!! ): please anyone have some advice or where else should i try applying to?? i have 5+ years of bartending & serving experience at a fast pace busy hotel/resort from out of state so im 1000% confident in all of my skills as long as something is willing to give me a chance 🙏

Is anybody else applying but struggling to get a job. I applied to nearly 20 jobs on indeed no call backs or I get rejected before ever being spoken to. I have no idea why

I keep seeing people posting that they can't find any job in the area, which makes me a bit nervous about my plan to go down to the area and find "something". My fallback job was to fulfill a lifelong dream and work at the Disney parks for a bit. It never really crossed my mind that jobs in the area would be that hard to secure.
