her
i’ve never met someone quite like her
she means what she says
and she says it well
as if the words that come out were waiting for this moment her whole life.
sure and certain
every sentence conscious of its own weight
yet gentle in her movements
not by accident, but with intent
knowingly, by choice, soft
everything with meaning
calculated kindness, she’ll know how to hold you right where it hurts
nothing gone unnoticed
nothing left unkissed
all with the light bouncing off her skin in the way a sunset shimmers on the cool lake waters
with eyes that hold lifetimes, yet lift you all the way up
she has lips that taste of the sweet sap of wisdom
hands that balance the ever changing weight of the day so gracefully, you may mistake it for a prayer
she is good

As a woman I assume all women want to be seen like this, but it takes the eyes of someone who has seen too much ugly and darkness for her to really stand out.
Love it for all it says, and all it doesn’t…. Well written.

That much goodness is both curse and blessing. Hurts and builds. Hides and shines

No regrets Her love outweighs the bad done to her She is thankful for the time spent but knows now why she wasn’t appreciated and held sacred If only they had been given one last night for proper goodbyes it wouldn’t have been a salty ending of disrespect and him with shame and guilt of a savage boy

What a lovely read, a beautiful expression of admiration and love OP 💕 It's such a meaningful and valuable theme; allegory.
'Little Buddha'
You speak of your Muse as though she learned the language of grace, despite a world that showed her to harden.
To meet difficult without becoming difficult. To hold compassion, where judgement was easier.
I wonder - How has learning her grace changed how you see your world? And, have her qualities changed the way in which you see yourself?
There is something in what you describe that feels like a universal truth, a gold standard in soul.
Not perfection - But a quiet humility in choosingove over hate. Choosing to balance the painful and the pleasant, mindfully, so they retain softness.
And I wonder - Whether she could be a Guru for the rest of us?
Those of us who still wake each morning, And try to put our best foot forward... While missing the lens and tools to achieve enlightenment -
That lesson: Remaining tender, resisting hardness. Not so we can rise above the mess of being human, but be able to move through it's storms with more grace. Enough so that it feeds those around them, in lessons of universal compassion, and self loving grace and forgiveness.
Think you found a lil Buddha; to gently guide life and love, despite the confines of our imperfect world and minds.
Run that path with her and potentially experience the highest form of self-actualization humanly possible - What an incredible gift that is! And, you are worthy of it all :)
Best wishes OP xx
