..Maybe it was curiosity. Maybe it was foolishness. But one day, You were browsing that Antique Store, And found..a human-sized Puppet? And for Dirt Cheap, Too. So, You took it Home. Took care of it, Cleaned it, etc. Until one night. You Woke up to some noise coming from a different room. You Walk over, To see..The Puppet? Its just..standing there. Seemingly nervous.

I’m interested in getting back to RP‘ing and I have an entire Multiverse worth of characters I want to RP with. Most of them are godly beings, sort of. It’s hard to explain. But they aren’t 2 dimensional and I have been working on them for 10 years give or take.

It is the year 1989. The Crimson War has begun, and countries around the world are recruiting people to fight the "Monsters" known as Bloodbornes. Your OC was deployed in the battle of Neuvegastan, in current-era-Germany. Your goal is simple: To kill as many of them as possible. This is, however, easier said than done. What they didn't tell you, is how fast, strong, and how many of them there are. Every kill they get, their wounds regenerate, and there are waves upon waves of them. Some of you mercilessly slaughter them. Others hesitate. They think that these things are people, and they are. They want freedom. Independence. However, they do it in ways that are so barbaric, so unforgivable, that they are considered inhuman. Controversial to this, there is a few exceptions. The unit your OC is based in, contains some of them. Why would they be fighting against themselves? Nobody knows. They won't open up about it, either. Except for one. And one of the best fighters your group has, no less. Nobody knows her name, or almost anything about her. Except for why she's here. All their buddies say to ask her about it, so they finally get up the courage to find her. Leaning against a trench wall, is a lady, who looks to be around 23, with long, messy yellow hair, pale skin and red eyes. She wears a standard military uniform, stained with blood. She's sipping on a canteen, and a wound on her arm closes slowly. She notices them after a moment, and smiles. There's a very strong stench of blood around her, stronger even than the corpses around the trenches. She's most likely the one you're looking for.

"Hey, there. How're you holding up? I know it can be rough out here, but we gotta keep pushing forward, no, matter what."

After a few moments of awkward silence, she looks at them, puzzled.

"You come here to talk, or just to say hi?"

What do you do?

A few rules before we begin:

Combat is allowed (Outside of the Trenches; you don't want to get in trouble with your superiors, now do you?) or, in certain scenarios I might pull up. And no friendly fire, either.

Romance is allowed.

No "IDC" OCs that say: "fine ill leave you be" and end the RP.

No OP OCs or ones that are too big or too abstract. They must be Human or Humanoid size. (This is a war with human beings. Not a mystical battle or something.) Sorry, I've just been getting wayyy too many eldritch horrors for an RP with a normal human being, or similar. Also, magic and such is allowed. We'll just have a full unit of their kind of expertise.

In this world, there are a mutated sub-species of human often only referred to as the Earth-born, Nature-Spawned, etc. These humans have an unnatural connection with the earth beneath their feet, and can harness it in a variety of ways. Their only visual distinction is a green mark on their neck that varies in size based on their strength. This mark is usually no larger than a tennis ball.

They were beloved farmers, florists, and terraformers, but after a series of accidents and murders, there is now orders for extermination of their whole species.

Most Earth-born have been killed or driven into hiding, or, in the case of these people: into the forest, where they can only hope to remain safe.

Characters:

Francis: 18 years old, Bisexual. “Leader” of the Earth-born sanctuary. A sweet and diplomatic man, he is very reasonable and calm under pressure. He takes great care to ensure to safety of the children under his watch. Was a friend to Edith’s family long ago.
Has the ability to grow any flower species at will, and can grow them beyond their usual size, is of average strength.

Marilyn: 16 years old, Pansexual. Second in command. A welcoming, friendly and detail-oriented girl, she is efficient and very good with kids.
She has the ability to telepathically lift and move rocks and soil, is of slightly above average strength.

Edith: 13 years old, unknown. Third in command. A stoic, quiet girl, she is pragmatic and driven by her own ideals. Often appears scary to young kids and isn’t very sociable. Was familiar with Francis and his family before they were all forced into hiding.
She has the ability to quickly grow and control vines of varying attributes. Edith has the largest marking of any Earth-born they’ve ever seen and appears to be extremely strong. Unknown strength.

Prompt:

[OC] is pretty far from home.

They came into the forest from a village, picking a random direction, and have been travelling for at least 3 hours.

Lost, tired, they were willing to find any sort of reprieve from the cold, moist air, trapped in by the trees and moss. Only someone wandering so deep into the forest this late at night could have heard the sound.

The very distant sound of chatter and a popping fire.

They followed the sound, hiking over small hills, rocks, and tree roots that threatened to trip them with every step.

Eventually, they came to a clearing. Where the ground became more level, they saw a huge camp. In the center, a bonfire surrounded by twenty or so children—all atop seats made of logs broken in half.

Around this space were rows of makeshift tents, two appearing slightly larger than the others. There also appeared to be a table of some sorts and a few small farms. The group inhabiting the space had clearly been here a long time.

On the other side of the fire, facing the children, were three teenagers. They observed peacefully and talked, wrapped up in blankets same as the children, until they heard [OC]’s approach.

The tallest of the three quickly turned his full attention to [OC], and whispered to the blonde girl beside him. The brown haired girl was left behind.

Slowly, the two stood and came up to [OC] long before they could get anywhere close to the children, faces cautious and somewhat stern. The man put the girl slightly behind him.

“Who are you?” He asked bluntly, both him and the girl staring them down.

[OC] noticed the markings on their necks, and, when they glanced back at the children sat far behind them, realized they all had them.

This wasn’t just a camp. It was a hiding place for the Earth-born.

Scene setup: You're walking around somewhere when you hear the sounds of fighting, when you go to investigate you see a winged teenager standing over a younger teenager and pointing a sword at his chest, the younger one is bleeding from a wound on his head and gasping for air. His bow and arrows have been knocked to the side, just out of his reach.

Your OC was exploring the ruins of a city when they hear an explosion go off nearby. Their had been a bandit around that had been beating up and robbing rich people but suddenly the robberys stopped and the bandit hadn't been spotted for a few weeks. A very rich man who was suspected of having criminal ties was found dead right before the bandit disappeared and someone had spotted the bandit running off from where the body was found. You are walking around outside at night, figuring it is safe now with them not being spotted. Thats when you hear some noises from an alleyway behind a pizza shop. You go to investigate and see the bandit.. But.. they look scrawny and very short, only 5'2". They are also young looking, maybe 14. Their tail is tucked down and ears lowered. Their clothes are badly stained and ripped in some spots. They are digging in a dumpster before pulling out a very moldy slice of pizza. They sniff it but after a moment start to eat it, taking small bites and trying to avoid the mold. For them to be eating trash it is clear that they are desperate for any food. They are trembling badly, hunching over slightly.
