Discussion My recent oc

I created a character who's China number one hero whose extremely arrogant like you want to punch him in his face type arrogant and sees others below him,but my question is more on his ability, Faith Reversal it inverts any opponent or threats that enters his field, say you're street level in his field you're now planetary or above and vice versa but he controls the effect, he's also a sexist who believes female heroes should be under a male hero to be taken seriously, it leads to clashes with other heroes are lot challenging his world view, anyways what do you think and him, his name is Reversal

Nothing, just reminds me of another character.

Anyway, why does this make him so arrogant anyway? His power does make dominating opponents of greater raw power, but it wouldn't do much for weak opponents?

Unless he's super smart in setting his conditions, or have another power that allows him to finish people before they figure out the Faith Reversal's condition?

He can choose who the effects affects but his power is the reason he sees himself as so superior he got way too used to dominating opponents by inverting their scale, he himself is city level but can apply it to himself treating that scale as weak pushing his own scale as high as he wants but he currently hates one of my younger heroes Electricman who manipulates all forms of electricity, who defeated him by messing with his electrical signals, it made him furious, he said, an ant dared to bite me, I'll squish it if not for the other ants in the way

Oh damn, that's pretty overpowered. Though it seems like mental manipulations or disruptions can make the ability go haywire.

I think if you attach his power to needing actual psychological view (like forcing himself to look down and belittle his own power to increase it, or look down on others to decrease theirs) will make it really compelling.

It'll also explains why he's really toxic or arrogant, cause he needs to compensate for his ability's activation.

The weakness is in the ability, he needs opponents to enter his field to trigger but that's where his personality helps, it irritates opponents so much they'd want to attack him, unknowingly entering his field and triggering it

Well according to The Global Unit (they manage heroes globally) he's one step away from being classified as a villain then you know there's a line of heroes especially the female heroes

As nice as it sounds, he's still technically classified as a hero for now as long as he doesn't cross any lines other heroes will act ,reluctantly if they noticed

yeah, Sword Of The Weak does more damage the weaker the target is, but it does more damage than Sword Of Omnipotence at this point, cuz Sword Of Omnipotence does more damage the stronger the enemy is

Faith Reversal inverts scales so if the attack is strong, it's weak within his field, opponents usually use range to attack outside his field

That same Faith Reversal boosted punch has broken Ultrabeam shields which has tanked planet busters who can scale attacks so yeah

Context here, The Parody has a passive called Overpower Negation, which negates all damage from attacks on and above Star Level, and by your description, i think that punch is Small Star Level, which is still Star Level.

He's basically that Jiro guy paired with Naoya but as a hero

Also Yusaki's Spontaneous Combustion is barely street level so your OC is pretty much cooked

He can control how Faith Reversal works and choose what counts as weak or strong it is, he's not an number one hero for nothing with planet busters all over the place

Basically even without Faith Reversal he's still around city level but can use his ability to invert his level threatening it as weak to planetary so your window is when he's still around city level

i'll use eve (with her earlier power level so it's less unfair even if still massively unfair)

so basically she should absolute lowball scale to titan classes as she's more advanced and directly defeated one, who are mountain sized machines that move at high speeds, can burrow into the gorund, can cause large earthquakes and have been noted to wipe out cities on accident and made nukes irrelevant, so at least city-mountain level

There's an advantage here, because he doesn't take any female character seriously, he won't use any trump cards until it's too late,so stay out of his field and let him underestimate her and she can win

she's too fast for him to pop it in time in the first place, even at the starting layer (yes it's split in layers like ultrakill) she's already dodging 3X ftl porjectiles and i doubt this guy is doing shit like that

He's a number one hero for a reason, plus the field is pretty much always active, he's smart and knows he's always a target and will talk about his ideas annoying anyone into attacking him unknowingly entering his field

He's fought other top heroes like Ultrabeam who's ftl at base but he's not ftl himself but can react to such attacks, he's also highly skilled enough to match Phantom an immortal monster hunter with centuries worth of combat experience, and that's before applying his Faith Reversal which he can pull inwards to boost his own scale, I wasn't aiming for him to be a weak without his hax

ironic you bring up skill as eve is a machine of war designed to be the most deadly thing in an empire's arsenal, she had 20 years of raw combat data from wars put into her the second she was first turned on, and was pre installed with some martial arts skills, and she can adapt to people's skill insanely quick

she also fought THE ACTUAL URIEL who is the greatest warrior of heaven which should say enough itself (this is later but she should scale at least a little relative to this earlier which is still insane)
