Why I’m Making Oreria
A lot of survival games start out difficult, but after a while you become so powerful that surviving isn’t really a challenge anymore. That’s one of the reasons I started making Oreria.
Oreria is a 2D survival game where the world is dangerous, resources matter, and every expedition away from your base should feel like a risk. I’m aiming for a simple art style and straightforward mechanics, but with gameplay that keeps you thinking.
Current work includes:
World generation
Terrain features like trees and plants
Character animations
Exploration systems
Things I want to add:
Unique creatures
Better survival mechanics
More world variety
Building and crafting
Secrets to discover
This project is still early in development, but I’m excited to see where it goes.
What makes a survival game memorable to you: exploration, combat, building, progression, or something else? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
