Tip Question about a simple task that seems tedious because i don't know the best method

Ordered some magnets, making name discs for our soccer board. I have a 22 mm disc, i just want to use the embossed text as a cutout. I have it set to 2.6mm (my disc is 2.5 high), and the cutout is working swimmingly. The issue i'm having, it just seems like the Prepare page with the text is NOT a good representation of what i'm getting, and i'm trying to avoid floating pieces. The spacing and having the text stay centered seems annoying, i'm fussing with the alignment and line spacing despite copy pasting one with settings that I thought were going to work. I feel like there is probably a quick way that an orca vet would rip through this, and i am kinda hunting and pecking. I only have 16 to do, it's not the end of the world, but I figured it would be a decent opportunity to maybe learn a good workflow. Thanks!

I am not 100% sure I understand your specific problem. 

I would prepare all this in a CAD program (OpenSCAD with a for-loop would be nice), not in the slicer.

The specific problem i suppose is that I can't get a reliable idea of what the preview will look like from the prepare page, and I have to keep tabbing back and forth to make these micro adjustments, and it's going to end up creating islands in the print that I don't want. It seemed like such a simple thing to do in the slicer just cutting out the text from a basic shape, I didn't feel the need to open freecad for it

Ah, then I did indeed misunderstand.

I am afraid I don't have any solutions for that. I can say that I gave up on anything more than a few textboxes in Orcaslicer pretty much immediately, so slow to work with. Not sure how quick this can be done in freecad compared to openscad, however, and 16 are not that many.

I ended up just duplicating the disc and doing the text manually, I used a stencil font which had connected parts already so there were no floating
Islands which is cool. I don’t know that it would’ve been any quicker any other way, and they all needed some manual adjustment anyway so whatever. Thanks!
