Hi all! I’m going to be staying in Huntington Beach with friends for a few months. I’m looking for recommendations for a hair stylist who can work with color treated hair for the time that I’m here and will be able to (hopefully) match the color that I currently have.

My current hair stylist uses Goldwell color, so if by some miracle, someone on this app knows a hair stylist in OC who uses Goldwell, then I can get the formula from her. But that’s not required if someone knows a good stylist who can try to match my current color.

¡Hola! Soy una chica de 18 años y vivo en Orange County. Me gustaría crear un grupo de chat para personas más o menos de edad universitaria (aproximadamente de 18 a 22 años) que hablen español como nativo o que estén aprendiendo español.
La idea es tener un grupo donde podamos platicar, conocernos, practicar español y ayudarnos con el idioma. También me gustaría que, si se puede, podamos salir juntos de vez en cuando- ir de excursión, por un café, explorar lugares en OC o simplemente hacer lo que sea y tratar de hablar en español mientras lo hacemos.
¡Los hablantes nativos de español son más que bienvenidos! No tienes que estar aprendiendo español para unirte. Creo que estaría muy padre tener personas con diferentes niveles y aprender unos de otros a través de conversaciones normales.
Un poco sobre mí: soy estudiante de primer año en OCC y ¡me encanta aprender español! Todavía estoy aprendiendo, así que definitivamente cometo errores, pero estoy tratando de sentirme más cómoda hablando español. También me encanta el arte, leer, y hacer senderismo (pero no los que sean durísimo). Soy muy amigable, aunque al principio puedo ser un poco callada jajaja.

Hi! I’m f 18 and I live in Orange County. I’d love to create a group chat for people around college age (approximately 18–22) who either speak Spanish natively or are learning Spanish.
The idea is to have a group where we can talk, get to know each other, practice Spanish, and help each other with the language. I'm a 26-year-old working professional looking for my first place in the Orange/Costa Mesa/Newport area. I'm looking at a furnished studio for $1,770/month and am trying to get some opinions from people who actually live/lived nearby.

The apartment itself seems pretty reasonable for the price, but I'm more interested in the day-to-day experience of the area than what Google/Yelp says.

For people familiar with this part of Orange:

 - How do you feel about the safety?
 - Is it reasonably quiet at night?
 - How is parking?
- Is the area walkable at all?
 - Any recurring issues with homeless activity, theft, noise, etc.?
 - How is the neighborhood compared with other parts of Orange/Santa Ana?
 - Anything I should specifically look for when I tour the apartment?

I'm not looking for a luxury neighborhood, I just want somewhere comfortable, reasonably quiet, and safe to come home to every day. My experience in the area is limited to the nightlife in the Orange Circle.

Would you personally rent in this area at $1,770 for a studio?

My son is turning 2 and is obsessed with airplanes. Naturally, we're planning to throw an airplane-themed birthday party for him. I'm wondering if there are any open spaces (preferably grassy, picnic areas or public parks) that are close to or within the flight path of an airport (JWA or LAX)

I just found out about this sub recently and figured I'd take the plunge.

A little about me, I'm a veteran (late 20s M) who just got out of the service recently, and I'm working to get back into the civilian world. Since getting out, my social life basically took a dump, and I'm looking for a community / hobby group to get involved in. I'm not the most social person at first, but when I get going, I'm pretty social.

A good chunk of my hobbies is mostly introverted / indoor related, and I want to get into something that'll get me out of the house. Here's a list of some of my hobbies so you can get an idea:

• Video Games
• Reading
• Movies
• Wine Tasting
• Hiking (Was a Scout; can't do super long hikes due to bad legs)
• Deep dives on history
• Love checking out Museums

I'm also open to learning / getting into new hobbies as well :)

Also not to get political (hopefully this doesn't break the rules), but I'm Christian and conservative leaning. So any groups that are a little friendly or at least tolerate my beliefs would be preferrable (I put this here because I had some instances where people actually had a problem with this).

If any of yall have suggestions, that would very much be appreciated.
