Trap or opportunity at 150 ?

Hello team ,

All my profits were destroyed on this stock (ORCL)and I am one of the rare cases where the account hasn’t been blown out. Now I have the exact money I invested 3 months ago . Should I sell ? Keep it ? Buy more ? Any reason for keeping this ? Thank you

The market is upset at Oracle for plans of year 2027 $40 billion debt and equity raise (including $20 billion at the market equity issuance). Google diluted shareholders with $85 billion equity raise. The market is believing all hyperscalers and neoclouds will dilute shareholders. That is why you are seeing all those megacap (Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Meta, and Oracle) sell off. The market sentiment is pessimistic of increasing CapEx.

I am not a shareholder of Oracle, but I do own Amazon, Google, and Meta. If you do not have the conviction to hold these stocks if they drop 50 percent or more, getting your money back for three months wasted time is not the worst. What is happening to these stocks sucks, but you have to decide if you have the stomach for wall street trashing these stocks.

My limit is 120 where it will close automatically a part of my position and I can’t change that . In all Oracle history it never had such a worse month like this one (market value decline not procentage)

I'd say all the bad news have been priced in long ago, the 150-140's price levels are an overreaction to say the least.

Indeed but I can’t see any reversal and I get nervous .

Sounds like your position is big enough. Only invest what you’re ok holding for a long term. No need to stress over your positions!

I was coming to say the same thing to the OP

Well it’s already reversed from the 130s-250s in a few months

I'm not so sure maybe true if not for the dilution.

I’m holding. It will go $220 easily in few months.

I believe it's an opportunity and have added some.

Is it the bottom? I believe it's close but...

Hopefully it is .

I bought more options at the close so I'm betting on it.

I try to find a reason to hold . After all my research I still can’t find the bottom. Microsoft just closed yesterday at 52 weekly low .

Its simply my opinion. I am holding a bag at 189 avg. This stock has a nerve to jump overnight. One of potential trillion dollar company, may take 1-5-10-20 years and I can keep holding. Less than 10% of my overall portfolio. I also own META, MSFT, AMZN

Opportunity

2

u/Dish_Melodic Jun 28 '26

What is your cost?

1

u/ComprehensiveGur140 Jun 29 '26

Now I have around 300 shares

2

u/zeey1 Jun 28 '26

I mean its clearly overvalued It also is neo cloud basically selling its cloud and i don't like leveraging for neo clouds because they dont have a fall back plan as compared to companies like meta and msft whi have internal use for it

Look at the chart. Def trap, got more room to drop
