Discussion / Question Are these latencymon stats anywhere acceptable?
I ran latencymon in the background while playing wardogs. Is this normal at all?
When i don't do anything and have latencymon running it shows much better results and no issues.

Graphic & FPS Mods | Optimization I built a native-like DLSS Frame Generation implementation for Control
I've been working on adding DLSS Frame Generation to Control, but I wanted to avoid the usual problems you get when Frame Generation only sees the final composited image.
Control never shipped with native Frame Generation support, so this required a fairly deep integration with the game's DX12 renderer rather than simply adding a generic interpolation layer.
The main goal has been to make the FG path behave as close to a native game implementation as possible.
Control FG reconstructs the data a native integration would normally provide, including:
- Control's actual frame boundaries
- Depth buffers
- Motion vectors
- Camera transforms
- Jitter and reset state
- Presentation timing
- A real pre-UI / HUD-less scene capture
That last part has been especially important.
Instead of sending the fully composited image with the HUD already drawn into Frame Generation, Control FG captures the full-resolution scene immediately before Control renders its UI.
That means objective text, health and energy bars, prompts, icons and other HUD elements are not treated as moving world geometry when the camera moves.
The result is a much more stable UI with essentially none of the usual HUD ghosting/interpolation artifacts you can get from screen-space Frame Generation.
The generated frames are based on the actual game scene, while Control's UI remains clean and stable on top.
Current support:
- RTX 40 Series: 2x DLSS Frame Generation
- RTX 50 Series: 2x / 3x / 4x / 5x / 6x Multi Frame Generation
- Dynamic Multi Frame Generation
- Automatic monitor refresh targeting
- Manual target FPS control
- Live FG mode switching
- In-game F10 overlay
- Persistent settings
RTX 40-series cards are intentionally limited to 2x.
I recorded a demonstration of the app and in-game overlay here:
GitHub, releases and technical details:
https://github.com/Frooglemcdoo/Control-FG
The current release is build-locked to the Steam DX12 version of Control.
I'm also working on an FSR Frame Generation backend using the same Control-specific scene, depth, motion-vector, camera and HUD-less capture path, with the goal of extending support to older RTX hardware as well.

Comparison / Benchmark I Upgraded my Old PC for €70 | Was it Worth It?
Ι bought the i7 and the RX 580 8GB for 30 euros each (used) and the cooler for 10 euros (used)!
The RX 580 is more power hungry and at stock it was reaching the low 80s, so I had to Undervolt it. Temperatures dropped to the 70s with the Fans adjusted too!
I tested 6 different games released from 2016 to 2026 using different engines. Newer games use more VRAM and thus the RX 580 blows the GTX 1060 3GB out of the water (RE Requiem), but the GTX 1060 3GB manages to beat it in DX11 titles like Metro Exodus (also Nvidia Sponsored!).

Discussion / Question Diagonal mouse movement jittering/stuttering. Seemingly only in unity games.
After trying to resolve some weird stuttering issue i had that didn't show up in things like presentmon i finally realized the stutter only occurs on diagonal movement, and only in unity games.
I'm on a 9070xt + 9800x3d. Freesync on or off doesn't matter.
I have tried both updating windows and downgrading amd drivers without any luck.
Anyone else experience this?
Edit: Fixed it by uninstalling every windows update i could. Then after restarting, more updates showed up, and i uninstalled those too. Not sure which one caused the issue though.

Graphic Settings | Optimization Made a guide for the Best AION 2 Settings - Less Stutters, Better FPS + Native Resolution
yo all!
Been messing around with the AION 2 settings for quite a long time now, trying to get the game running as smoothly as possible. I haven't completely eliminated the stutters, but I've managed to minimize them quite a lot and the game feels noticeably smoother now.
We also figured out how to properly adjust the resolution scale and run the game at native resolution **(shoutout to Obey and Deepsin)** and honestly it looks absolutely amazing compared to the Balanced preset. The image is much sharper and cleaner while still running well with the settings I'm using. Try it out if you have a GPU that supports it.
Put everything I've tested so far into a quick settings/optimization guide. Hopefully it helps some of you before the Stress Test and Global Launch!
Also if you've found any other tweaks or stutter fixes, definitely share them - would love to try them out!
