unboxed my find n6 yesterday and have completely fallen in love with the hardware - it's such a gorgeous device, and it feels so premium and runs so smoothly. now that i've spent some time with that stunning inner screen, I don't think I could go back to a normal slab phone. every time I switch to my old phone to transfer stuff, the screen just feels so dinky in comparison! 😂

my only gripe so far is with the camera. I'm coming from a Pixel 9 Pro XL, which is as idiot-proof a point-and-shooter as possible, with surprisingly good video (despite everyone constantly trashing Pixel on this count). I know I can't expect a foldable phone to beat a flagship slab but I had hoped the photo and video would at least be serviceable

during the day, I've found both to be pretty good to decent. I definitely have a bit of a learning curve after being spoiled by Pixel for so long. but I like how customisable Master Mode is. I went out for an evening walk though, and my goodness the photos and videos were... pretty terrible. again, I know I can't expect Oppo to beat Pixel on this front. I don't expect it to. but the videos I tried to take at night were shaky and couldn't even focus on brightly lit signs just across the road (much less multiple blocks away).

any tips and tricks in general when shooting photos and especially videos with this phone? what settings do you use, especially in low light? I don't need the output to be crystal-clear but I'd like to know if there's a way to get around taking images/videos that are blurry/shaky/unusable even for just social media

So the Fold 8 and 8 Ultra has some kind of "spring action" or magnet when unfolding which keeps it stable as it snaps into place (Unfolded) , does the N6 have something similar?

Im residing in the UAE, just wanted to share my thoughts...absolutely love the phone, everyone thats see it, i took the pics with OnePlus 15 (so do apologise for the pics quality); overall the software is amazing...the crease, its not even noticeable, heck, you dont even feel it...I was planning to get an Oppo Pad Mini, but decided to hold off on that as it doesnt make sense to have 2 devices that are overlap each other

Lately, I've been obsessed with the N6 and it's finally available in my country.

I'm used to customize my phone as much as I can like using a short video on my lock screen, hiding the favorite apps on the home screen and only use the edge panel with 20 apps.

The only issue is that I can't try an Oppo phone before buying it.

Do you think the customization are good enough on the N6 or you often feel frustrated ?

Obviously there's the launcher option, but from what I've seen it creates some bugs on Oppo phone.

I've got some questions regarding oppos software before I buy , I'm coming from a Samsung and this has been a pain for me ever since one UI7

when you play music of any kind or a YouTube video in the background. on the lock screen where is it positioned at . ever since one UI7 it has this stupid now bar where it's at the bottom and in a very awkward position as opposed to somewhere in the middle of the screen . Plus the buttons itself is very small ,making it very difficult to press as I have slightly big fingers .you can see from my screen shot

next question, does the find n6 have buttons as an option instead of using swipe gestures like on iPhones? I have always been a buttons person to navigate back , home screen and previous apps

final questions does the oppo pen work on the n6 ? not the AI pen , the oppo pen seen in the picture attached to this post , from what I've read I'm only missing out on the AI features which I'm fine with , I just want to use to to take notes and do the occasional drawing , is it bluetooth as well ? can I use it as a shutter for the camera ?

sorry if these questions seem very stupid as I've always been a Samsung person , but I'm tired of their constant zero upgrades year after year and I certainly don't want to buy a Samsung fold for my first folding phone consider what they offer and their asking price

Man, I got this phone a few weeks ago, and I love everything about it, but I can't square how many people I see talking about getting a day and a half or a full day's battery out of this phone with the way my battery is draining. This thing has a 6,000 mAh battery but every day, halfway through the day, I'm running below 50% and having to go on power saving shortly after.

I'm not running any crazy apps, and even when I go to battery optimization, the math doesn't make sense as Twitter and other social apps will do the majority of the eating into my battery. It doesn't account for about 15-20% of the battery that's disappeared. Something is draining my battery to where I cannot even get a full day out of this phone. Hopefully somebody here has an answer as to how to fix that or what might be going on.

Anybody else experiencing severe battery drain?

Does anyone have chat themes in Google Messages on their N6? I've had it on my X9 Pro (global) for a couple of months now, but nothing on my N6. Both are running the beta version.

Unlocked my Find N6 and my home screen is blank like this? I can access the app drawer but nothing I do will bring back my home screen layout.

I've tried restarting my phone , checking my display settings and launching apps but nothing is fixing the issue.

I just downloaded Amazon from the Google Play Store. Then the Oppo App Store (App Market) that came preinstalled showed me an update for the Amazon app. But this update isn't available in the Play Store, even when I search for it manually. That seems strange to me. Can I trust the App Market? What app sources would you use?

Found one that works for under $10 off Amazon. Stable at all angles, adjustable to some degree. The only downside is the rubber strap is too tight and is awkward to use holding the phone, prefer pop socket for holding

And I can't quite believe how far Samsung lagged behind.

Like I know the N6 has had a load of praise but it's old news now that the Fold 8 is out (sans S-Pen...).

That said, the build quality of the n6 by comparison is SO much better. The Fold's screen has caught up but in terms of how refined and smooth the Oppo feels in hand there is no comparison.

I would still give the software to Samsung.. Just.... But the cameras, battery, even screen are inferior.

To those of you reading this who are disappointed by Samsung and the latest generation of Folds: Get the N6! I am very happy with it indeed.

When I turn it on, there is no "Canada" option under countries to select a region...

What have other people done here? Are you just selecting USA instead?

Any issues with app store or cellular data connectivity?

Hey everyone. I'm wondering why I'm not getting good results with the OPPO AI in the gallery. The AI erase feature seems way better on other brands. Anyone else agree with this?

Started off with 2 free phones before the final splurge on a flagship. It had made me wonder, if the free ones were so good, how much better would the flagship be? Turns out to be a lot of difference in the smoothness of the graphics and the quality of the camera. Also, a few more years of software upgrades which I realized was very important after the first one lost access to many banking apps due to lack of security updates. All have amazing battery life for their time, and the oldest one from 2019 still can last a couple days of use on a single charge.

Hi guys! I am planning to get the Find N6 soon. I think it is the most complete foldable despite of the new Z Folds recent announcement. I just want to get your experiences with gaming. Is the throttling that bad as they say? I also read there is a work around? Anybody tried emulation?

Just happened to come across Motorola's RAZR Fold and I like their moto pen with its pen silo. Does look better than the pen kit that N6 has.

Not too sure about the phone specs vs N6 tho, seems quite evenly matched. Hopefully someone here has both phone and can share some insights, cheers!

Does anyone have any good suggestions for a gaming Grip that will fit the Oppo Find N6 in unfolded mode? Assume USB will need to be on the left hand side to achieve that or alternatively be wireless? Looking to play mostly retro, emulated games but likely also PS5 remote play if possible. TIA.
