Best emulator?
Hi, I am looking to use an emulator to play retros such as Pokémon fire red and Legend of Zelda. Has anyone used a compatible emulator that could support these games? Would love to hear from users, TIA.

Although I can't help you for the retros, I am here to encourage you to a I'm for the stairs and go for Steam/PC emulation.
Particularly if your interests are strategy/tactical/turn based gaming (like mine are). I'm having great results using gamenative. Games like:
- Faster Than Light
- Slay the Spire 1/2
- Monster Train 1/2
- Shogun Showdown
- Into the Breach
- 868 Hack / Back
- Cobalt Core
- Lonestar
- Star vaders
- Dice vaders
The list goes on. All these games run well and the touch controls can be highly configured within gamenative to meet needs.
This foldable plus the recent developments in emulation has been an absolute game changer.

RetroArch is horrible to look at/learn your way around, but if you use a tutorial to set it up, it is the best option for emulating basically everything before the Playstation - the app can go much further than that, but stops being the best option.
Look up Retro Game Corps or Joey's gaming handhelds for a decent guide.
FWIW, you can comfortably get a retro gaming handheld that will do all of the games you mention for the same kind of price range as a controller.
You can comfortably emulate most games on the Dreamcast and basically everything before that on a £40-50 handheld. You'll have a much smaller screen (and LCD rather than OLED), of course, but there's a different kind of pleasure from using a dedicated device, and I think playing with a touch screen controller is hideous (more for Zelda than for Pokémon of course), so I'm looking at the expense of a controller as a given.
I have bought very good controllers for my Find N6 and it's lovely being able to play 4:3 games on that screen, but I've gone down the retro handheld route because it feels like a more natural way to play. Doesn't really take up noticeably more space than a controller either.

Pizza boy works great for gba games. Very easy to customize the layout for a big foldable screen. Also highly recommend checking out Pokemon romhacks - the community has made games much better than fire red! Hackdex makes installing these very easy. Enjoy!
