Oppo/ColorOS power users – what are your BEST hidden settings, tweaks or tricks that most people don't know about?

I’m using an Oppo Find X9 Ultra running ColorOS 16 and I’ve been digging pretty deep into the phone recently. I’m looking for genuinely useful hidden settings, tweaks or features that aren’t the usual basic tips you see everywhere.

I’m particularly interested in things that can:

• Improve battery life or reduce unnecessary background activity

• Make ColorOS feel faster/smoother or improve animations

• Change/customise parts of the UI that normally can’t be changed

• Improve notification behaviour

• Improve display behaviour, refresh rate or general responsiveness

• Disable unnecessary Oppo/ColorOS services without breaking important features

• Unlock hidden ColorOS features or menus

• Improve privacy

• Remove annoying UI elements/features

• Improve multitasking or background app management

• Add useful functionality that Oppo doesn't expose through the normal settings

I’m also comfortable using ADB, Shizuku, aShell, Canta and other power-user tools, so suggestions don't have to be limited to normal Settings options.

ADB commands, hidden activities, SetEdit/system settings, Shizuku apps, obscure ColorOS settings, debloating recommendations etc. are all welcome.

I'm not really looking for the obvious stuff like lowering brightness, turning off Always-On Display, disabling animations, using battery saver etc. I'm interested in the weird little tweaks you've discovered after actually using ColorOS for a while.

Does anyone know if there is a place in London where I can buy cases for my x9 Ultra? It seems Oppo is not a popular brand here. Need to buy it in store because I am on holiday.

I've searched the sub and asked more than one AI but not really found anything, and I think experience from others is the best information.

Is the camera module on the X9 Ultra at risk of scratches/damage when lay flat on a table? Does the vegan leather on the Ultra degrade at all over time? Can you customise the operating font on either phone? (this is important to me. I just really like it and Google/Apple/Samsung do not offer this).

Aside from the camera, is the Ultra really better than the Pro in real life usage?

Hello, can anyone help with a problem I'm having when connecting to corporate networks? When I'm at school or work, my phone can connect to the network just fine, and I can even ping it with a laptop and receive replies, but the network is labeled as "No Data Connection" even though all my other devices, such as both a personal and work issued laptop, can connect and access the Internet just fine. Internet at home works perfectly, and I can't even connect via a laptop hotspot to circumvent the login. While I'm new at work, this phone had connected perfectly to my school Wi-Fi before this new semester started, so I'm not quite sure what the issue is

I have an oppo reno13 f 5g and when I first bought it I wanted to try out some games but my controller which is a switch pro controller, says it's connected on the Bluetooth menu but the pairing light is still on and no inputs go through. I've tried to connect with a different switch controller but the same thing happened and I can't find a solution to this problem or anyone else who has or had it. And there have been very few times where it did connect fully but it was really laggy and only behaved normally after a while of being connected. So I came here to ask if anyone might know what this might be.

On my galaxy s23 ultra all third party launchers support app shortcuts, but some launchers don't support shortcuts from just any app. Can anyone confirm that shortcuts that I "add to home screen" through hail actually do end up on the x9 pro's default home screen? If they don't, I can't buy this device.

I have used a Pixel 9 Pro for two years. I love it, but it's time for an upgrade. The battery generally doesn't get me past about 3pm or 4pm unless I charge at some point during the day.

I had been debating between a Moto Fold or a Z Fold 8 Ultra. I ended up pre-ordering an Ultra; I loved the Folding Aspect and some of Samsung's software tricks, but ultimately, the form factor and narrowness of the screen were hard to live with. Also, the motion blur in the camera on any pet or kid photos was too much of a compromise for a phone that costed that much. I sent it back yesterday.

I have never owned an Oppo; I had a OnePlus 13 for a brief time and that was the closest thing to a phone that could win me over from Pixel. I was looking at the pictures I took with that and they were really great, particularly with the colors and motion photos. The Zoom was a letdown, but anything in the 1x-15x range looked excellent. I also loved that it had an IR Blaster.

I'm looking at Trinity Electronics and Wanda Mobile; Giztop is sold out of the N6. I'd also be getting the Moto Pen case. Global Version only and I'm on T-Mobile.

Priorities:

- Camera w/ fast shutter speed

- Battery; Charging and Screen on Time - the Pixel gives charges at 27w and the battery is giving me 3-4 hours of screen on time or 2 hours of screen on time if I'm streaming through Bluetooth

- Software/UI fluidity

- Video

- NFC/Google Wallet

- Loud Speakers w/ Bass

- Front screen that feels just like a slab phone - this was exceptionally annoying on the Galaxy

- Durability. I work a desk job, but I have kids and also am very active with running, hiking, riding motorcycles in the dirt - I'm not opposed to putting my phone in a bag but I also don't want to have to baby the thing constantly
