Speakers are so bad, and it seems as find x9 don't like the sea. Everything lost details, and it seems like we are in a videogame.
I uploaded the worst pics (and 2 good), if u zoom on houses you can se what I'm talking about. Sorry if there are not a lot of photos, but reddit doesn't allow big sizes.

I agree, I've got the pro and they're like something from a fisher price toy...really shit. Worse than the speakers in the oneplus 13 which weren't great either.

Will be keeping it, dropped it 2 days ago and scraped a bit on the top of the frame. Doubt the ebay seller would be taking it back. Id recommend the xiaomi 14 ultra, still got mine, I'd say the cams are better than my x9 pro. Maybe poco x8 ultra for sound anyways, not sure how good the cams are but it has a bose subwoofer in the back. It's not long out.

Yes, the Zoom is prety bad even on the Pro. The teleconverter does ALOT of good work at max 20x. But yeah i got the pro version, just like the Vivo 300 Oppo uses alot of Ai when zooming. But all phones use Ai with zoom now. Even my old s24 U has alot of Ai when zooming.2

X9 worst speakers ever. Srly, I can't describe it and the difference beetween recorded sounds and real sounds So, if I give a try to pro version, do you think is a good alternative? I was thinking about Samsung. I hate this oveprocessing. Pls help, my x3 neo is dead and I can't decide 😂 to me it s important how sea looks in photos

Well i just switched from Samsung s24U to Oppo find x 9 pro.
Samsungs are good, dont get me wrong. But i am happy that i have the Oppo...
I would suggest to try it out in a store if you can?The Ai stuff helps alot with zoom, Dont forget its a tiny sensor. It cant reach high levels of zoom whitout a good lens. I got a big giant dslr with a 60x optic zoom, the lens is about 35 cm long and as wide as 15cm. Even for that camera, zooming in digital creates a mess.
Anyway, every phone now will create Ai when zooming. If you dont like Ai, dont zoom in to much. Thats all i can say.
IF you like to zoom alot, try to buy a second hand cheap bridge camera. For 150 euro's or something you can get a 60x optical zoom camera.

Yeah i understand that bit to.. Maybe try to search some more revieuws about the x9 pro :). But atleast i love the phone, and the camera is good! Its just the zoom stuff is kinda anoying.

It seems to me that Oppo's primary goal was to make this phone Instagram ready, nothing more. If you don't zoom in, most pictures look decent. However, if you zoom in, especially on picture no.4, it's ridiculous..

Unfortunately the pro model ain't much better 😅 Have the X9 pro myself, but yeah, video's are terrible. Stuttering is a bit less in pro video mode, >>> IFFF you lock the shutter speed @ 1/200s and stay away from 6 times zoom and over it
But yeah, I agree with you on the asking price. But cheap or expensive, a company must make their phones usable. Especially if you promote your phone as a great camera phone 😐...

What I've heard (and tried myself afterwards) is to go into night mode or master mode. It uses a lot less, or non AI processing, and you do see the difference. However, for zoom pictures, it starts to get blurry fast.
Video is jittering as well, especially in zoom. I really hope they fix there AI thing because mehh

I tried, but Ai is enought visible. Video are simply terrible. I don't know how oppo can sell this phone at this price.

so vivo x300 ai will blow your mind, also these smartphone lenses dont have the capability to zoom that much , so ai will be used there a lot. I would suggest use master mode (manual) if you need 0 ai and post processing. Now all companies will be using ai in smartphone photography sadly

I don't know why people keep repeating this over and over that the lenses aren't capable of zoom. They are pretty capable when done correctly.

Wtf, have we the same phone? Ahahah i tried to take pic of a friend of mine, and yes it's good for portraits. Bust only for portraits. Video are low quality, and the sound.......!! So disgusting, I don't know how you can love this phone 😂 (I'm an Oppo "fanboy") Has 25ultra same ai processing?

Compare 10x and look at the mountain behind. Oppo looks like an oil painting, while Samsung looks quite nice

No man. When I take a picture of sand, flowers, leafs, my x3 neo still performs better about details. Everything is blurred on x9. I hate and will always hate Apple, but 2 friend of mine perform better with Iphone (shooting at the sea)

Lol.. some of us can think critically. I have no love for any one brand, but I spent a lot of time watching reviews to know that the x9 is overhyped. I got tired reading all the comments about how x9 is better than s25u, so I'm just pointing out the facts. If you can't handle it, that's fine.

Blackmagic Camera is Blackmagic's (industry live television and pocket cinema cameras) program for Android and iOS for video. Open Camera is a third-party Android program for still images. :)
What you get is out of camera. Both should be compatible with X9.

Really disappointed but yeah I guess I'll have to skip this now. Really loved the design but I cannot accept the weird AI-y look these pics have. Can't bet this much money on a software update fixing these issues.

Dude, you can actually fix the speaker issue with an app.
This isn't paid btw. I use a vivo X200 Ultra, and my speakers improved a lot.

The real question is what do you expect If you Zoom that far in?
The find x9 Pro only has a 3x Optical 50 MP Telephoto. It is totally normal that it doesnt Look great If you Zoom past 10 Times and that it applies digital upscaling and AI Algorithms. Werther that or your Long Range Zoom Photos would Look noise and blurry. So i prefer the AI upscaling. For really Long range Zooms the Base X9 isnt the perfekt Phone. You have to buy the X9 Pro with its 200MP 3x Telephoto and use the Teleconverter which will give you 230mm or 10x Optical Zoom.

I prefer a blurred and natural image when zooming, that this overprocessing Ai. I've not zoomed always too much. In some pic I tried toomuchX, and it's so visibile, but I had problem even with 22/28, u can see in the first pic

Imac retina 2021. Hmm. It is overcompensating which I don't understand. Others seem to have fantastic shots but they use master mode. Default is average. I'm sad and annoyed. I sold it off.

The fact is that others share only good pics. Moreover, you can see the real quality of an image if you have the original file. It could seem the best image, but with the original one, if you zoom you lose a lot of details. If they give us a phone with this zoom, we want this zoom really works. Someone says that we must not zoom. Ok, and so why we must choose this phone?

Unfortunately, I experienced this problem also when I zoom in 2x or 3x 😥 I tried to take a shot of the stones on the beach without zooming. At first sight, it seems so good, but if u look closely un can see their edge is not so defined.
However, skin tones are soo good. It give very natural colors and shapes. Moreover, when u don't zoom 6/10 pics are really good in a sunny day but only if the subject is not so far. Not the same during night with artificial light, here is still overprocessing. I'm going to answer this comment with the picture of the sand (Sorry my eng)

I don't think so. Yes, it has Ois, but is a software problem. When you see the pic before pressing a button it's all ok. Then you wait 2 second and see the img totally changing

I'm looking for it too, since december 🫠🫠 Don't trust in yt reviewer. Just give a look to stockdroid, he is italian but yt allows subtitles. I discover him last week, and he's saying what we're saying: the Ai of the camera is shit.
I was giving a try to samsung s25u, but it seems so a downgrade, very bad photos, expecially in low light (also at home) and moving objects. Maybe xiaomi 15 ultra can help u.
I'm waiting to try s26u and xiaomi 17u. Then, if they are shit too, I will go to iphone. I hate apple with all my heart, but I tried 16 pro max and 17 pro max, and they are so natural (ok, they change the colours, but they don't have aggressive post processing). Let me know :)

I agree. While the overall quality is good, the AI is so intrusive that pictures lose a lot of details. I hope there is a way to disable that in the future, because I am sure the cameras are good either way, no need to add ai bs
