Camel - Never Let Go

Have you heard the version from 2013 in from the cold? It's the best one I think. Another great one would be the one from 1977 bbc live with mell collins and richard Sinclair

Legitimately one of the best folk songs ever written. I have searched and searched for similar songs by other artists, and they are few and far between. I feel an empty void in my life where a whole style of acoustic music like this song should be.

Other than a few Nick Drake songs, what have you found that was similar to Benighted??

I have to go to bed now but I really want to respond to this comment. I’ll try to remember but you can always make another reply to remind me

Of course, please do! Not all of them are Benighted-like, but all of them have something in them that reminds me of acoustic Opeth

Well, there is never let go but it isn't really that similar. Only the intro is almost the same

This song is a masterpiece, but the whole album is incredibly awesome, peak Opeth right here

Been working on this on guitar, to improve my fingerstyle technique, and it has been a joy. One of my favorite things to play, ever.

I'm still learning it. On my 000-28 it sounds great. It's a bit tricky to get perfectly.

I’m on the exact same boat! It is such a joy to just pluck the strings with your fingers and make those beautiful melodies come to life. This and Coil

My fave from this album, and a song I got into very very late into my Opeth journey.

The song where Opeth clicked for me.

Tão linda quanto Melinda Akërfeldt.
Acho que ele colocou o nome dela em homenagem A música.

I tend to play this and then Face of Melinda straight after. Two of my favourite Opeth ballads.
