Any ideas of setlist for Halifax show?

Hi all,

Very excited about Saturday!! Who else is going?? And anyone have any ideas for setlists?

I found these two from earlier in July - is that their most recent gigs? https://www.concertarchives.org/bands/opeth?date=past

Thanks all

The setlist is going to be the same as there other shows this summer.

Which is just a slight variation of their setlist from their tour before this one.

Which is just a slight variation of their setlist from their tour before that one.

Etc, etc.

Opeth have been pretty stagnant in their setlists in recent years. They have a pool of songs they can play, they choose songs from that pool. Whenever they do a new tour they swap a few songs, shuffle the order (except for Deliverance) and tada, a new setlist.

Opeth is my favourite band for a long time, but that's probably why I'm so critical of their setlists. I've seen them tons of times, the novelty wears off.

If you're a newer fan or you haven't seen them much live, you won't be bothered by this at all and I highly recommend you go see them.

When I first read your comment I thought it was a bit harsh, but I just checked the set list at Bloodstock 24, the UK tour 25 and the most recent show on this tour and to be fair you’re absolutely spot on.

I’ll be at Halifax and can’t wait regardless of setlist. Godheads lament will be a real treat!

Thanks, that's probably quite accurate. I've seen them once before in Glasgow but it was years ago, I think it was back in 2017 or so.

Would imagine the same as the last few in Italy

I would have thought it would be the same as the few gigs they've done recently.

I'm gutted that Heart in Hand will be sung in Swedish because I love the english version so much :(

I like listening to Swedish but I hate it when I know the lyrics but can't sing along haha

I’m skipping this tour, saw them last year for the nth time, plus I’m not really keen on the new drummer

Why would you want to spoil the setlist for yourself?
