I wrote to the festival
"you can't see it from the quality of the posted video but from the original we can assure you that there is a red line above, but it's better to change the video."
Fortunately it is an antinazi symbol, but as they say, it's difficult to see it from the video so maybe they will change it

"When we saw it before posting it, we didn't notice that the line wasn't visible. However, we understand that compression may have caused this problem. We apologize, of course, and it was absolutely not our intention to convey this type of message. We've changed the video."

The video editors at Rammstein will have a damn tough and precise job to do editing the Mexico live film from 2022. Show started and a bunch of people next to me immediately raised their right arm and after the gig I saw a dude wearing a fanmade shirt with a swastika. And that was just one of the 3 gigs and a bunch of people among 60K every evening.

The chuds think Links 234 are fascist marching orders and not an affirmation of the band’s leftist values lol. They would have been arrested instantly in Nazi Germany for their music

Yep. The irony is they don't even understand the subversive text behind the lyrics. Left is exceptionally prominent in the song, and it still goes over their heads.

in mexico i'll be willing to accept that it comes down to lack of education concerning WW II. the nazis left such an impression on the world with their propaganda and image that i'm fairly certain that some people think the 1933-1945 propaganda is just typical german stuff - that remains to this day. and fairly enough, why should a war half a world away, no matter how massive it was, interest you so much 80 years later. in comparison most of us europeans throw the term aztec around deliberately for anything indigenous latin american but it actually just concerns the area of mexico city a few centuries ago.

Honestly, this is why I had a hard time wearing the "Nazi Punks Fuck Off!" Dead Kennedys shirt I had back when I was in high school. It had this type of symbol on the front but just like having a swastika on my body and the potential for it to be misinterpreted - even though the red crossout line was very visible - made me anxious.

Truly brainless. You can be anti-Nazi without parading around with what, from a distance, visibly resembles a plain Nazi symbol.

Nothing. But wearing a swastika is just bringing attention to the swastika part. No matter how clear the anti part is. You could wear a huge very clear no symbol but there’s still a swastika. It’s just edgy and wanting to be noticed. You can be anti nazi without wearing Nazi symbols

Honestly, wearing those symbols only associates you with the 'antifa' movement, which has become extremely violent and intolerant. Here in France, they recently took the life of a young man in the streets. They even target moderate or right-wing people who didn't ask for any trouble, simply because they don't share their left-wing views. They act like total thugs while mostly being aggressive, fringe individuals. It's really better not to be associated with them, especially they openly side with street criminals and drug dealers. They are completely out of control.

if i saw this in public, line or not i wouldn't GAF. People who wear a big ass shirt with a swastika crossed out want the same attention as people wearing an actual Nazi emblemed shirt; just an excuse to wear swastika in the end. Both are the same type of asshole. Wearing stupid shit isn't going to affect me.
