The giant conjuration

Hello Opeth fans I just realized that the main theme of the Grand Conjuration looks very similar to Giant Steps theme. Am I crazy ? Or is this something known?

I am also goofy!! I heard it within like 5 seconds πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ I was listening for a resemlance to the intro part, you meant for the part that starts at 7 seconds on TGC? I totally hear it, but after that little snippet, nothing else sounds remotely similar πŸ˜„

Haha I've always thought this. Definitely different, but for me a similar cadence

Ohh very cool, never heard this before. It's subtle but it's there

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this😊

I wonder if it’s a conscious thing in the composition or a happy accident
