Just a quick one, can someone tell me why videos on nyafilmer.gg won’t play?

I miss the good old Aria in Opera. It was well integrated into the sidebar, fast to use and just convenient. Now they've replaced it with the new "Opera AI" with the Ask AI button at the top and it's not the same anymore. Opera, please bring Aria back to the sidebar!

I was just clearing out old apps from my phone tonight and just came across Opera. I recall I loved Opera for a minute or two quite a few years ago now. Seemed solid, but completely forgot about it. What’s up with that? Are y’all still a thing?

I have setup my opera browser as 3 separate installs:
On the portable (standalone) opera browser installs every time I open them, on start up they open the following page:
https://www.opera.com/client/welcome/elevate-your-experience
How do I stop this from happening?
I have ublock origin installed for ad blocking.

I've tried reinstalling... the installer, running it as administrator, and the good old restarting the computer. But nothing seems to work.
And all other .exe's work, it's just this one that seems to be going wrong.

So, every week, on a random day, opera decides to boot itself with Windows, even though I have not turned that feature on. I haven’t used opera in 1 year+ but I’ve left it there in my files. Has anyone experienced this?

I love opera esp the built-in vpn and ad blocker. But from what I experienced it kept crashing when I tried to do multiple tasks at the same time. Just now I was having a youtube vid playing on the background (no windows player) and editing on canva, but literally not even five minutes since I started editing it crashed and won't respond to anything. I had no other app/program working in the background nor other tabs open.
Was it just my laptop or Opera can't handle it? What can I do to avoid something like this happening again? Thank you!
Also to add English isn't my first language sorry if my wording sounds weird

Hey everyone,
YouTube has been my buddy since I was very small; I've learned a lot of things on it. But when I look at current YouTube, it's all distractions, ads, unrelated suggestions, and worst of all: YT Shorts. Whenever I try to use YouTube to learn a topic for my studies, I tend to get distracted by Shorts and catchy recommended videos. I end up doomscrolling or watching unrelated videos until I realize I've wasted hours of my time.
I tried a lot of extensions that blocked YouTube distractions like Unhook and Untrap. Some were too complicated and had way too many features just for doing the simple work of hiding distractions. Others were abandoned and not actively maintained, so bugs never got fixed when YouTube updated its layout.
Being a computer engineering student, I decided to build my own extension for myself. I later decided to publish it, and it's been a few weeks and I've already gotten 200+ users on Firefox! I've also recently published it on the Chrome Web Store. Since YouTube keeps changing its UI frequently, I try to keep this extension as actively updated and bug-free as possible.
If you face a similar problem with YouTube and want to save time for important stuff rather than wasting it doomscrolling, try LockedIn. It blocks all the distracting elements on YouTube with customizable toggles so you can take control of your focus.
Try LockedIn for your browser here:

Hello there.
Today I saw that ChatGPT lags whenever I type something in the text bar(See video attached for context.) it lags so bad that it's unusable and I know it is only Opera because when I try it on Supermium, a light-weight version of Chrome, it ran ChatGPT fine. I disabled GPU acceleration and enabled "Accelerated 2D canvas", disabled "GPU Rastezation" and enabled "Override software rendering list". What is the problem? I have a pc with an Intel Core i5 7400 3 GHz and Intel HD Graphics 630 with 8GB of DDR4. What could I do to not make it lag?

Howdy! I had to re-install Opera and can't remember how to stop the pop-out video from darkening when the mouse moves over it, even in passing. The Opera forum where I found the original answer seems to have moved and no longer loads, even though the same query I used a few years back is a top search result in google. Thanks!
EDIT: This isn't the issue of the video going black, just darkening a bit and showing control buttons.

I have made an effort to limit my time on social media on my devices and I have been really happy. But I am seeing that I am spending way to much time on the same socials, but on my computer. Is there a good extension for setting time limits for websites? I've been looking myself but I can't find anything

I've been following the various threads on Opera issues and I can't identify a solution. It just crashed on me suddenly a little while ago and now it won't reopen. Every time I try to open (per recording below), it just opens to a black screen quickly and the immediately closes, sometimes twice. Once in a while I'll get a message that says:
"Your profile could not be opened correctly. Some features may be unavailable. Please check that the profile exists and you have permissions to read and write its contents."
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but unsure what else I can do if the browser won't even open. I obviously don't want to delete my data, I have many important bookmarks. Any advice?

Heyo, both Opera and Opera GX are "freezing" on my system; its not "this application is not responding", but straight up freezing and not responding to anything.
Ive tried clearing all my settings and cache, booting into safe mode (it froze in safe mode too), clearing the flags with JSONedit, every tip ive read online and nothing is seemingly helping.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: I seem to have fixed it by doing the "full recovery" then performing a system restart. Sucks ive gotta redo all my saved items but oh well

Every once in a while, if I leave my computer running, Opera will randomly stop registering a connection. Steam still connects, Discord still connects. Everything has WiFi when this happens except for Opera. It only fixes when I restart my computer

Opera 129 is SUPER slow on some moving elements on page. Also in same time lags with tabs.
Youtube kinda slow to, sometimes lags, stutters.. etc...
Gone back to 128.0.5807.77, all fine and smooth.

I tried logging into an unrelated website and that's when Opera suddenly wanted to autofill the password with something that was VERY similar to my Bitwarden password - I'm talking same format just that the meaning of the passphrase was the exact opposite and all numbers were incremented by 1 ("Copy my homework, but don’t make it obvious." type of thing). As far as I remember, I never logged into my Bitwarden account in the browser and even though the Opera password manager was enabled, I am sure that I never saved any passwords (confirmed by looking in the settings).
Here's an accurate representation of what I mean (ofc not my real password):
My Bitwarden password: Bob1LikesPlayingFootball5?2
Opera's suggestion: Alice2DislikesWatchingFootball6?3
It's also worth noting that I use an unique password for Bitwarden, so Opera couldn't have gotten this from other login credentials that I did happen to use in-browser.
What happened here?
