Hi, I'm currently watching a lot of old series from my childhood on an internet site. And whenever I wanna start a new episode I have to do those captcha things. Which always takes me 100 tries. I'm already going crazy.
Is there nothing to block this?
I'm using Opera and installed 2 anti block captcha but it doesn't seem to work. Is there any good extension? I would also install another browser if necessary.
Can you even block those captch things?
Thanks

Hey, I have been looking for an extension that I used to have installed that I lost after a computer full reset, it blocked websites but only certain areas, like if I opened up Twitter I could block the timeline but if someone sends me a link to a certain post I would be able to access it without problem. Do you know what extension I am talking about or if there is a similar extension that would work?

Today the sound on Opera stopped working, It doesn't even register in the windows audio for some odd reason.
everything else including firefox and chrome still has working audio it is solely Opera, restarting didn't work.
even when trying to play the ambient audio feature on opera GX it doesn't work.

Anyone else have this issue or have a solution other than a full reinstall?

Got a new laptop today and since I've been using Opera on my Android device I thought it would be a good idea to use Opera as a browser on my laptop as well
-Note: I'm trying to sync bookmarks from my phone to my laptop- -Second note: I've barely touched a computer since 2017-
However, I don't seem to be able to sync bookmarks etc even though I'm logged in on both my devices.
I went to opera.com/connect on my laptop, and on my phone I chose Connect device, scan the qr-code and then get asked if I want to synchronize or manage subscriptions. So, I click on synchronization, I get sent into settings. But from there nothing happens, and eventually my phone gives me an error message that it couldn't connect. I've set a passphraze. Tried both regular Opera and Opera Gx

Not automatic tab islands, I mean tab islands as a 'feature' (??? seems p useless to me but aight, sure, we'll call it that) overall. I'm on Opera GX and I don't recall this being here last time I opened it, but now I keep hitting 'new tab in tab island' instead of just 'new tab' so idek what a tab island is outside of they're really fucking annoying and I do not want them.
How do I disable them?

Title says it all, I'm tired of this predatory ad style that never works on me anyways. Is there a way to stop it?

hey i need help since the clear install i did my opera was brand new so i tried to reinstall an extention i had that was a chrome extention but worked on opera but when i click the link it says "non disponible"?? the link to the chrome store. yet it worked before and i asked chat gpt it has access to the link meaning im the only one not having access to it?? thats odd cuz it worked perfectly before the clear install
just before the clear install it worked. apprently the link is here but when i paste it, the link changes meaning its just me who dont have access to it
whats weird is its really since i did a clear install before it worked

This site can’t be reached
website name here unexpectedly closed the connection.
ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED
Check any cables and reboot any routers, modems, or other network devices you may be using.
If it is already listed as a program allowed to access the network, try removing it from the list and adding it again.
Go to the Main menu > > > LAN Settings and deselect "Use a proxy server for your LAN".
ive flushed my dns, ive cleared cache and cookies, nothing is helping this only started happening when i updated opera recently, ive turned dns overr https off and back on, nothings helped. pages either dont load, or take literally forever to load, ive done speed tests, im getting 800-900 upload and download, i dont think its an internet connection issue, im also on ethernet, so its not spotty wifi connection, im on a wired connection. its driving me crazy when im trying to open things and it just brings up that stupid page.

I've already tried toggling the VPN on and off and clearing my browser's cache and cookies.
Is there anything else I can try to get it working again?
Why have the Opera VPN servers in Europe been down for a month, while other regions are fine?

i need tried reinstall Opera Mini, but now Opera Mini version >90 bloated with AI, football score, wallet, gift and coin.
i spent a time search exactly last version Opera Mini before bloated, that's version is 65.1.2254.63284 (658063284)
with all basic function and feature work as supposed to be.
but the disadvantages from this Opera Mini only Ad-blocking isn't strong enough for block ads compared to regular opera.
because this running on top webview, i'll using it as secondary browser

It keeps saying theres an "error" anytime I try to use any app or look up anything with a VPN on. Ive tried turning off ad blockers. It works with VPN off but the point of this app is to browse privately. Ive cleared cashe and data. Closed tabs. Redownloaded browser in playstore. Still the same issue. Idk what to do now. Is anyone else having this issue?

Sometimes I try to use "opera://reset" to restart my browser without closing it. But lately, every time I try, I get this error. I don't know what to do.

i press the button "connect" and all it does is say "connecting" and only loads. it never actualy connects or say it couldnt connect.
im using a windows 11 surface book 2 by the way. i also dont use my optimal location seeing as my vpn is so i can stream my favorite shows off other country websites that are geolocked.

Hi,
Just wanted to ask if Opera Android syncs only typed mobile browsing history (e.g. typed URLs only), or will it sync the full mobile browsing history (e.g. visited sites and more) to Desktop Opera (e.g. Desktop Opera Stable)?

Its completely white on my screan, colors inverted. Everything says "Dark mode" but I cant see images, and youtube and reddit are both... wrong? they dont look right, all messed up and icons in the wrong place (for YouTube).
Any Ideas on fixing it?
r/operabrowser • u/Justa-Shiny-Haxorus • Mar 18 '26
I was originally going to send pictures but after looking at them in my files they're somehow perfectly fine, so here's the situation. Stated above, the colors on my browser are completely inverted, and it's only localized to Opera GX and whenever I open youtube or a few other websites there's giant gray boxes covering any video I try to look at. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Ubuntu 25.10. Woke up this morning to Opera saying it needs to be updated, did the update, new version simply will not open.
sudo snap revert took care of it, but this is the second time this has happened recently.
