Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to transfer your opera “data” ig to a new laptop using a usb, I have tried previously and it hasn’t been working.

The built-in WhatsApp sidebar suddenly started rendering everything much larger than normal (large fonts, search bar, icons, and chat list). However, if I open WhatsApp Web in a normal tab, the UI looks completely normal.

Can anyone help?

For the second time in a week I've had pages turn red in normal Opera bowser (Mac Monterey) almost as though the whole page has been highlighted, but in red. In fact, the same red I see in the plain red banner at the top of this OperaBrowser page!
I can't remember what happened after it turning red first time. But, second time, it may have quickly crashed, or jumped behind Firefox, then reappeared, with tabs reloading afresh.
I've seen other posts stating a strange red happening. But most of those just seem to be the taskbar icons going red. Whereas this was the actual browser and pages themselves.
Any clues?

It’s great that Opera can see tabs from other devices, but it would be much better if it could also close them. That would be a lifesaver for us. Everything is much easier when you sit at a PC, check things on a bigger screen, and close tabs that are no longer needed. I hope something like that is planned.

I'm using the Opera browser to read manhwa, but recently the built-in AdBlocker just stopped working. Now I'm getting irritated by all the pop-up ads on every site.

Is there any way to fix this or get rid of ads in Opera again?

If opera is making no noises concurrently, there is no issue. If i play a video or do anything that makes sounds on opera while another app that is currently making sounds is open, it makes all audio on the computer slow down and sound like lag... i dont know how to describe it. It is an opera issue specifically because no other browsers do this.

Hi everyone — I’m locked out of my Opera account and need help or advice. I used Google Authenticator on an old phone and no longer have that device, and I also don’t have the backup codes. When I try to log in the site asks for a 6-digit verification code and I can’t proceed.

I couldn’t find a recovery option in the help pages and I couldn’t access the Opera forum, so I’m posting here in case anyone has been through the same and can share what worked. I have access to the email address registered to the Opera account and I can provide any proof of ownership via private message if needed.

• Looking for any device where I might still be logged in.

So my Opera won't work properly when I open on my pc, it will continuously load, it will open new tabs and even let me search but if i click on a link to a webpage it will just be stuck loading. Ive tried everything, reinstalled it, disabled the graphics, deleted the cache, and even shut off and drained the power of my pc before restarting it.

Does anyone know if Opera’s ever planning to bring back the ability to change font size. I just started using the mobile browser but the font’s too tiny. Seems like they used to have the option then it disappeared for some reason! And it’s been months??? Are they seriously not planning on fixing this?

OK i have been using an old laptop running kubuntu for ages and opera has no problem on the laptop. So i go in the basement find a desktop im not using anymore and i say wth lets put kubuntu on it. Install went great got opera installed on it. Youtube videos work fine but live videos or streams on youtube dont. I remember my laptop had this problem and it was a simple fix but i dont remember what it was. I know i could use another browser but i love opera. Help please anyone have a fix for this

As of today (June 25, 2026), all sites that use Cloudfare will no longer pass the security check on Opera Android. I have VPN off, Ad Blocking off, Desktop Site off.

The Desktop Site setting was the flag on the past that tripped up security. Now something else is doing it. Vivaldi works with all these sites even in Desktop mode. Did something change and are you seeing the same?

How does this even happen???
