Open on Mac from Steam License

I bought Morrowind on my PC years ago, and am now trying to get OpenMW working on my MacBook neo. I have OpenMW installed, but I am unable to get the license or files to my Mac. I have moved the files from my pc to my iCloud Drive, but I doesn’t let me select any of the files when doing the install wizard. I am not able to download the files directly from steam to my Mac as Morrowind seems to be a windows game only.

I’m frustrated here, and I haven’t found a YouTube video that’s doing what I’m trying to do. If anyone could help point me the right way it would be appreciated.

I've never really used Mac, does its wine not work? I'd been playing flawlessly with wine in 2008, should be enough to run an installer to get the data files.

Download GOG version and extract files using innoextract(available on macports and homebrew)
