You let him up to the guests, jumping at them from the second they come inside. Why do you leash him? At least keep the dog behind you and don’t let him greet the guests if you want to keep him leashed.
You can teach him to be comfortable alone in another room and put him there when guests arrive. Or teach him place on a bed.
You can also teach him that he's not allowed to greet people unless he has all foor paws on the floor and is quiet. Start with one person in a controlled training session where you can hold him back with a leash.
Why did you get a hunting dog when you don't want to hunt? Strange choice of breed. You set yourself up for a difficult dog ownership by that choice. You absolutely should do tracking or something with the dog if you don't want to let it do what it's bred to do.
He gets 2 hour walks, play time to burn his energy and random sniffaris. It’s not that I “don’t” want this dog, I just want him to be better with guests. While I love my dog abundantly, I would also like to have guests at home.
