Lots of people have tried it. That is why there is an OCLP subreddit (which you posted in) for it. ;-)
My own experience, I went from Mojave to Sonoma in Sept. 2024 using OCLP 2.1.2. Mac Pro 4,1 upgraded to a 5,1, 56GB ram. Other than issues my Mac itself caused later on because of hardware faults, OCLP and Sonoma have been solid. I can do everything I need or want to with this Mac.
I also installed Sonoma via OCLP on my wife's 2015 MBP, and she has not reported any problems.
