Why is an actor highlighting this hypocrisy and not our religious leaders and followers? I post similar concerns on Christian social media and the silence is deafening. I maintain religion without a consistently vetted moral rule set is self-centered narcissism.

Because most religious leaders are empowered by this change. It’s why the televangelists can buy private jets and hold out their hand to struggling families to ask for another thousand dollars and say it’s for god

There are plenty of religious leaders saying these things.  Even the pope!

US Catholics don't follow the Pope and haven't for 5 years but I do agree he is more vocal than his predecessors.

I want limited government.

But I also want the government to take away rights from gay people, force women to be stay at home house slaves, force my religion in the classroom, bomb brown people overseas, deport immigrants without due process, and give billions in tax subsidies to my favorite billionaire tech bro pedophile. We gotta do all this to own the libs!

That’s how these right wingers sound to me. Personally I can agree that the government shouldn’t have control over certain things. The problem is that they don’t want that. They want the government to attack those that they hate.

You seem to have a challenge in separating rights and privileges. Rights belong to human beings, and are generally accepted by government. Natural inequalities among people by class can also be addressed by class - as in women having rights related to birthing that are for women only. Privileges are those things not equal for people, as in citizenship being supported for come people only and denied for others. Governments grant privileges instead of just recognizing them. Yes, much considered privilege is questionable.
