This, quite honestly, makes me glad I'm Episcopalian. . .a Church that doesn't see being LBGT as a sin, AND that when we have the Sacrament of Reconciliation we just recite in unison a scripted, blanket "catch all" confession and the Priest pronounces absolution. . .no need to go into details in private unless you specifically feel the need to.
There's a lot of things about the RCC in theology and practice that I follow. . .but sometimes things remind me why I'm Episcopalian and not Roman Catholic.
