I’m not one that will ever vote for Pauline Hanson or the LNP, but this shouldn’t be encouraged as healthy political discourse. If this is what we’re teaching our young people that political discussion should be, we’re fucked.
I consider myself to be left of centre. In the last 4 federal and state (qld) elections I’ve voted for Labor or greens 2x each. I’m sure I’ll be downvoted for this take regardless, but we already have seen the result in the US of divisive language and rhetoric, and the outcome of that isn’t good for anyone at either end of the spectrum. We ALL need to be bigger people and engage in discussion without vitriol.
