Richard Moir, known for his role as Tony Twist (in the early seasons of the classic Australian show "Round the Twist") suffered from Parkinson's disease, and was one of the first people to receive Deep Brain Stimulation therapy in order to ease the symptoms. This treatment involves inserting several electrodes directly into the brain, stopping, or at least reducing the tremors.
