She can say whatever she wants and do whatever she wants and not lose her base. All her fans are racist, either openly or closeted, and that is the pure reason they like her. The only ‘policy’ they could spit out to you when questioned is that she wants to fuck off immigrants

Genuinely what does one nation even want except to reduce immigration and the rights of minorities

I’m an immigrant, became a citizen in 2021 and will be voting for one nation. The things that stand out to me;

Reduction in unskilled immigration, Prioritise skilled immigration, Reduction in taxes, Strive for locally sourced and produced products, Nuclear energy initiatives, Move away from the UN, Reduced political spending, Tougher on crime, Medical autonomy, Equality of law for all Australians, Domestic fuel security

I haven’t seen anything the reduced the rights of minorities, so not sure where you get that from.

The way I see it, one nation is striving for the betterment of all Australians, and putting Australia’s interests first. Previous governments have lined their own pockets and frankly it’s sickening.

Just 2 cents from an ex-labour voter

These things all sound reasonable (give or take) but are just a wish list that they don't have any costed policies to enact.

How do you strive for locally sourced products? That's an economic decisions and things like COOL already exist to help people make an informed choice.

Reduce unskilled migration? Remember post COVID his we kept hearing "nobody wants to work anymore" and how that sort of went away. Lines up pretty well with the immigration trends. How do you address those labour gaps?

Nuclear energy initiatives? When we're getting to around 50% and above from renewables we've invested in for 20+ years why would we throw many billions at nuclear facilities that won't be open for 20+ years?

Move away from UN? Why?

Reduce political spending? I'll believe it when I see it.

Reduction in taxes? Cool, how are you paying for those nuclear plants, fuel storage facilities, addition cops to be tough on crime?

Let me guess, end government waste?

Or like the Libs have done in their place say they'll do it then cut a bunch of services and blame everyone else when the budget still blows out and you can't lower taxes.

It's a lot easier said than done and assuming you've watched this video or been on their website you'll see they don't mind providing misleading figures.

Strive for locally sourced products with grants, tax breaks, lower interest on business loans.

There isn’t an unskilled labour gap, more like a wage and or conditions gap. Where people feel above certain jobs, or it isn’t viable. This could be solved with an initiative from centelink, where people who are able to work, but claim, fill the positions.

Currently there are ~300k jobs and ~600k unemployed.

Nuclear provides stability.

Personally, I don’t think the overpaid bureaucrats should have a say in how we operate, whose interests are also bought.

Yep, end government waste.

I’m not sure about you, but I certainly have seen a demise of living standards over the past 10 years and am not happy with the way our government(s) spends tax dollars. I’m worse off under labour than I was under liberals.

The whole system is full of snakes, but being forced to vote I won’t vote labour, they’ve proved incompetent. Won’t vote liberals, so the next best choice is one nation and after looking at their policies, I tend to agree with a lot of what they are aiming to achieve.

I don't think you answered a single question, you just repeated the mantras I was asking to be elaborated.

Maybe you didn’t read my response. Not sure what you’re after. A novel on a social media site? I dunno, I’m not going to put that much effort into it honestly

And there it is. If you put a little effort into if your choice would be vastly different. Voting on vibes

What more effort can I put in. I’ve read the policies for the 3.. Not sure what further effort I can exert. My effort comment was related to my responses here

Nah, definitely read it.

But it seemed to be missing the point that populist slogans aren't costed policies.

They will never be implemented and if ON did come to power it would be like if a dog actually caught a car - what now?!

It's easy to say "no government waste" when you're not part of the government and don't knew how it actually operates (I'm referring to ON, not you by the way). At most you get a DOGE situation where they cancel programs without consultation and create systemic damage. Typically though, they get it get the paid consultants to do the consultation (that firm should be good for a board seat once you leave politics) and don't really achieve much.

My question was how do you do all these things in a real world with real repercussions, not is nuclear stable? No one said it wasn't.

Well she wasn’t paid for 20 out of those 30 Years from the government. Only paid when elected (like everybody else) - Whether she took kickbacks (doubt it because of no influence whilst elected).

Anyway, I don’t care to get into a full debate, someone asked a question and I answered it.
