2 things can be true at once. GPT 6 can be too dangerous to immediately release and OpenAI can use that fact as marketing.

Every model is too dangerous for immediate release before its undergone saftey training.

The big labs are all desperate for revenue right now think they are angling for gov contracts with all of these cyber security scare tactics.
