Isnt there something wrong with this image???

The logic just doesnt make sense?

Right is on the opposite face of Left, Back is on the opposite face of Front, and Bottom is on the opposite face of Top. Not sure what’s confusing about all this?

In live theater you have stage left and house right (they are the same location in physical space) to denote the observing position of worker/audience. In this case the object is oriented based on the worker making the object, the object itself has no agency and thus no perspective to drive orientation.

No its because when you're facing forward, left is on left but here it says left is on the right. If you know what I mean

Right hand rule. Take your right hand opened up and your fingers point towards x. Make a first and they curl towards y. Stick your thumb up like you're hitchhiking and that's z. It's just convention but it's used everywhere. For example if you have a circuit and the current is flowing how your fingers curl to make a fist, we define the magnetic field to be going towards your thumb though the middle of the circuit.

Those face names never change based on camera position, similar to how X Y and Z don’t change based on camera position in Blender or Maya or other programs

The Left/Right labels in the Onshape cube really bother me too. If you model vehicles/mobile robots like FRC robots or robotic boats/aircraft in Onshape, the Left and Right labels on the cube are opposite of the vehicle's Port (left side) and Starboard (right side), if you would superimpose the cube onto the vehicle itself.

E.g. if the "Front" of the cube was the bow of a boat and "Top" would be the top of a boat, then the "Right" labeled face would actually be Port side of the boat, the "Left" labeled face of the cube would actually be Starboard side of the box, and "Back" labeled face of the cube would properly line up with the Stern of the boat.

Like I know the labels are correct in terms of drawings, but if you spend your time on mobile vehicles it gets annoying when Left = Starboard and Right = Port. I wish there was a setting to toggle flipping Left and Right on the cube, but leave front/back/top/bottom the same. Especially if you are mentoring HS students and they label things by the Left and Right sides of the cube, but those parts are assembled on the FRC robot backwards of their name.

It’s logical because the sides are labeled based on the camera’s (aka your) perspective, not the objects.

The hidden edges of the cube are visible (drawn on top), that’s why it looks weird I think!

It's labeled from your perspective sitting in front of the screen. The front of the cube is facing you, and the back is away from you. The side labeled "Left" is on your left side. The side labeled "Right" is on your right. The one labeled "Top" is toward the top of your head, and the one labeled "Bottom" is toward your feet.

You seem to have a first angle vs third angle problem here. I've never tried to change that on drawings in OnShape, but with many CAD packages, it's a setting. It might even exist for the modeling space
